“Love supporting a local business. The checkout line can be a little rough. Customers seem to not pay attention to the line formed unless you're right up against the person in front of you. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Store prices could be a little more distinct. Some items are difficult to know the price of prior to checkout. Love the variety of snacks and candy.”

3124 W Cermak Rd, Chicago“Can I put 10 stars?! Hands down one of the best liquor stores in the Chicago area. Every time I’m in Chicago, I make sure to stop by. Sometimes I leave with a sad face but most of the time with a big smile ? Great prices! Affordable! Great specials! I collect tequila bottles and this the place with the rarest, extensive collection of bottles. My biggest issue is when I go, I don’t know which bottle to take home! It’s a little overcrowded, but definitely a place to check out!”
“Cute bar. Wish they had any other n/a beer besides Athletic but hey. Seems like a fun queer leaning space. Glad it’s there… but they really should take cash.”
“The selection is fantastic & Fay is incredibly helpful, she makes coming in here a genuine pleasure. Oh, and the store itself? Smells FANTASTIC I swear they must be using some high end incense or something, incredible.”

100 S Oak Park Ave, Oak Park“We went back to Citrine for pre-concert eats on our way to Chicago. This is a Mediterranean-type restaurant. Cocktails are good, food is good. Service is impeccable. Our server this visit was Theo, and he was attentive and friendly. The other staff from the young woman who sat us to the guys who delivered food and cleared the table were attentive and always gave us a smile. My husband and I started out with a glass of wine and a cocktail. We decided once again to share small plates together. We had the New York strip steak tartare. It's absolutely fabulous so we had to have it again. Fresh steak with a raw egg on top that oozes into the steak as you break it, it's perfection. We also got the homemade lepinja bread served warm with a couple spreads. I can't eat nuts or seeds and it came out covered with sesame seeds. No problem, Theo was more than happy to take it back and have bread made just for me without seeds. That's great service. We then shared the roasted beet salad which had arugula, goat cheese, avocado, and orange. It was a very small salad for the price of $14. Having said that, the salad was fresh and I liked the different textures, but it was the size of a small side salad and not worth the price. I would pass on this my next visit. The final dish we shared was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and grilled perfectly, the grits were creamy. This dish was packed with flavor and some heat. Delicious. Citrine accepts reservations and parking is paid street parking. I definitely recommend this restaurant and you must try the steak tartare. So damn delicious!”

2833 W Armitage Ave, Chicago“Gretel is a neighborhood staple. The food is outstanding. From the proteins to the pasta to the burger... everything is A-grade. It's my go to spot with friends. Drinks are high quality -- the old fashion is a must-try. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable. Cool lounge area downstairs too to enjoy apps and drinks.”
“Very impressive place. I have never seen before like that liquor store. That’s a big liquor world in Chicago. You have to found what exactly looking for. I love this place. It was very nice experience for me.”
9AM - 9PM
149 Front St, Wood Dale“A very good store, in stock such a product that I have not seen anywhere else. Naturally, I will definitely visit and buy in this store when I am in these places.”
“Really great wine store! The staff is also incredibly helpful. I will often come here saying "I am looking for something that tastes like a pinot nior, or pinot gris, etc." and they can easily point me in the right direction of a unique natural wine similar in flavor profile. We are so lucky to have such a cool wine store in this neighborhood!”
“This place is great and now a favorite. Very comfortable surroundings, perfect atmosphere for a drink. Beer collection and knowledge of employees is very impressive. Nachos next door were fantastic.”
11AM - 11PM
5202 W 25th St, Cicero“Prices are unbeatable and the service was excellent. The store is very busy because the prices are cheap. Also, they have many varieties of liquors and wine, beer, and many other things.”
10AM - 9PM
6847 Ogden Ave, Berwyn“The prices are pretty fair, I usually come here for my neighbor. Only thing I don't like is one of the female cashiers seemed as if she had an attitude the last time I was in there, she bagged my items and tossed it towards me. Other than that I have no complaints”
“Such a nice store with decent customer service!! I gota say that they have really nice collection of liquor and tobacco products. Also the service by the employee was superb.”
11AM - 8PM
542 Spring Rd, Elmhurst“I figured I should write a review for Bottle Theory, as I just found myself gushing to a friend about how wonderful everything is here. This spot is by far one of my favorites! At this point, we’ve hosted two parties here and the staff is always incredibly attentive and accommodating regardless of our group size. The taproom is very spacious, and the patio is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the warmer weather. As a vegetarian, I sincerely appreciate the variety of veggie options found on their menu. I’ve never spoken to anyone at Bottle Theory who seemed less than absolutely thrilled to help, which makes my heart sing as a former service industry worker. I know that good employers take care of good people, and there are certainly an abundance of good people here. I also love that the taproom is family friendly, and even boasts a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks and beers for my sober friends. Overall, I always feel like I can easily please everyone here - and that’s why we keep coming. Thanks for all you do, BT!”
“I have been going to Jim's liquors for several years now. It is nice because there is a wide variety of options available in terms of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages. So you can usually find what you're looking for. I have met the owner once or twice but he is not always approachable when he is he is usually a nice person. There is one employee there that has refused to sell me alcohol and also does not look like he ever wants to be there he is very rude and I believe he has not given me the right change back in the past. As far as other employees Ricky does a great job and the other guy who speaks Polish is really well too. Overall I give it a low 8 out of 10.”
“I just don't think the other review is an accurate representation of this store. Maybe it was a misunderstanding like they were trying to make sure he was able to legally purchase his beer by getting to the register in time.”
“First time at Lyons beverage store was so impressed at how pretty it was. Clean spacious pleasing to walk into. Shelves nicely done and You do not feel crammed in like some liquor stores, by far the nicest liquor store I’ve been in!!! Employees pleasant as well!”
“Jeremy knocked it out of the park. I showed up the day before Christmas and was overwhelmed by their selection- it's huge! But every time I went and found him for help, he was MORE than helpful. Thank you so much!”
11:30AM - 9PM
20 S Prospect Ave, Clarendon Hills“This place is awesome! The staff & environment is second to none, every time I visit it's truly a great experience. Selection of beers & spirits always keeps me coming back!”
“My biggest complaint is that people park in the entrance/exit space and have been doing it for years. It's only going to get worse if something isn't done soon. Other than that I have no complaints.”
“Great prices. And good CSGreat stock. Owners are true community people, Family own and run.....they had a rough covid survival...no price hikes and stayed so customer friendlyI would go out of my way...to support them...restaurant next store...parking his pretty good , but always get a spot..safe lit environment...lots if lighting..,”
“I stopped in here after stopping at almost a dozen other stores looking specifically for a bottle of Uncle Nearest, but also any great local bourbon that I could be pointed in the direction of, as I'm in town from Florida. Not a single one of the many stores I stopped in prior had anyone who seemed to be knowledgeable on the inventory and friendly, Vas Foremost was a totally different story. When we walked in we were greeted by a woman who wanted to know what we wanted and if she could help us find those items. She wasnt familiar but immediately got another gentlemans attention who took us right to the Uncle Nearest (if u are in Chicago and looking for it, they have 4 more bottles) and he then pointed me to a great locally distilled bourbon that was Fantastic. Highly recommend going here, wide selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great prices.”

5996 S Archer Ave, Chicago“I came across this place while searching for a spot that carried Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Their beer selection is top notch, as is their wine and spirits inventory. The staff was also super helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone on the south side if you're looking for something special that may be hard to find anywhere else. It's well worth a car trip, and I'll definitely be coming back.”
“The owners are AWESOME!!!! They care about the community and the residents! It makes me want to go there to buy ALL liquor for family events and so on because I know my dollar is going to good people. If you don't see something you want, they will order it and stock it for you :)”
“Very nice selection of tequila. Huge aisle dedicated to your tequila needs and plenty of other spirits available. Large store, friendly staff, great selection of tequila”
“Almost everything is fully stocked. You can find almost any brand of alcohols. They have various beers that are locally made, in the country and some are imported. Sometimes they are on sale.Staffs are very helpfull too. They always find a way to get your item. But sometimes they also ran out ofsome stuff.”
