We tried to get a hair cut at the River Grove location - which clearly has open to 8pm on the door and website. The door was locked at 7:35pm and a person inside didn't even acknowledged us pretty much ignored us -Just horrible ?they could have said something!

My daughter had a horrible experience and walked out in tears. We went in there trying to be clear and stated, “My daughter’s goal was to grow her hair longer. I said all we want is a small trim to clean up split ends, take off as little as possible”. Jeannette stated that notes had face framing which would involve layering and taking about 1 inch off. I said ok to 1 inch. Jeannette in turn took off about 4.5 to 5 inches in the longest part from the front leaving my daughter crying and upset beyond words. We will never again accept her to touch anyone from our family.

the stylist I had was a young female wearing glasses. she had no idea what she was doing. she did a terrible job made my haircut uneven. two of her co workers had to come help her and tell her what she doing wrong

Absolutely terrible experience. Went in with my hair 6-7 inches all the way around. Told her to cut 2-2 1/2 inches off all round and want the sides a little shorter than the top. She cuts the like an inch off the tips of the hair and doesn’t even touch any of the hair on top of my head. I tell her that I would like it shorter than that and she proceeds to get upset that she has to redo some of it. She proceeds to cut ny hair and make parts of it from 6 -7 inches to an inch. Me being a nice person figured I’d pay and go to my car and look at it closer before saying something cause she got so annoyed by me wanting it cut shorter. So I do just that and get out to my car to realize just how much she messed up my hair with parts being and inch long to parts being 5-6 inches long. Went in and showed her the mistakes. She then get angry and tells me to sit back down so she can’t fix it. I refused cause I didn’t want an angry person who’s mad at me for wanting her to fix her mistake to cut my hair any more then she already did and asked kindly for my money back. She laughs and says no. I tried to get one of the co workers attention to have them look at it but they all acted like nothing was happening and ignored the whole situation. To which I ask to speck to her manager and she’s says he’s not there he’ll call me later. 15 minutes later he calls me and I tell him everything from above. He then tells me it’s my fault she cut my hair too short and i should’ve been more specific. He would cut me off every time I tried to speak and basically blamed me for what happened. When I say she I’m referring to the stylist Tony or Toni. And I never got the managers name cause he was too busy telling me how it’s my fault. Simply put never go to this great clips ever ever ever. If I could I’d pay you not to go with how bad the service was.

Son went in for a haircut. He told her 2inches she cut the sides and not the top. He tells her she needs to cut the top too. She cut it put it was not even. He asked her to fix it now nothing is even. They blamed it on him. I don't know my son cuts hair. He didn't go to school for this she did. Don't go here and don't let Toni cut it. I posted the pictures of his cut on their page too. Don't go there

Made appointment online and that was nice. Walked in and the woman who greeted me was initially unfriendly. One person can really impact your day positively or negatively. When it was my turn to get my cut she was the stylist that cut my hair. I think she just had a bad moment because she was very good and friendly.

Very displeased. Had a wash and haircut yesterday afternoon. My hair was not washed properly: she passed through my hair once with the shampoo then swiped conditioner on my hair line then rises it out. She didn’t rub anything in and didn’t rise out all the conditioner I had build up and grease on my hairline when I got into the car. She also cut off a lot and did not listen to what I want. Did not use a hair dryer appropriately and was burning my scalp. She corrected it but I know the basics or hair drying and that amount of heat should not be AGAINST a humans scalp. I was mortified by the whole experience and just wanted to get out. I came there because I wanted to get ready for a major surgery I have coming up and feel feminine still but I feel like that was taken. If you don’t enjoy your job do something else. Don’t do that to people.

People are less willing to do things according to customer choice. They always want to go in a straight line and don't want to deviate. What I meant is whatever way they have written in their system based on earlier hair cut, they will go that way only. If a customer has said something different this time then they become rude. You have to explain everything in advance, you just cannot say anything in between. If you did, check out their attitude, they will just cut hair randomly and say it done. And this is the general trend in all Great Clips I went. You just cannot say anything in the middle. The place I come from, people treat their customers as God and nobody never gets rude to you like this. The attitude here in Great Clips in general is very rude. Cut my hair in less than 10 minutes and charge 20 dollars. Not happy with such service.

Checked in online only to find out great clips doesn't really check you in they hope you Check in online and then sit at the shop for another 45 mins.After checking BACK in I was told I'd be next only to have 2 others walk in and be next.And they raised the price to $20 for a haircut?Terrible service and overpriced means never again.

Unfortunately, I will not be going back to this Great Clips in the future. My expectations when visiting Great Clips for a haircut are rather basic - I simply expect the stylists to cut my top and sides to a specific length, indicated by 2 numbers. However, the stylists at this location seem to use anything but those 2 provided numbers. What is particularly demeaning is that the stylists take the time to confirm my desired lengths.Today’s visit was particularly baffling, as I walked out with nearly a buzzcut. I couldn’t help but laugh when I got home, as it reminded me of the buzzcuts I had as a child.Bottom line: The stylists don’t listen, they do what they want.Service: Haircut

I have had good service and haircuts here for several years. Today was a different experience. I checked in online and was notified of a 12min wait time. When I arrived, the board said 30 minutes. One stylist was counting money, coughing without covering her mouth and snorting, then exited to the back of the salon (thank goodness). The other announced to no one in particular that she was taking lunch. When I asked the one stylist who was cutting someone else's hair how long my wait would be said, "They refuse to hire enough stylists so you will have to wait until I am done." After giving me a mediocre haircut, she apologized and told me she was looking for another job. I will also be looking for another place...Service: Hair regrowth
