After taking my car back to the Ford dealership 3 times in a month. They told me the problem was fixed and they cant do anything. This car is still under warranty and Ziegler was refusing to fix it.
I was advised to go to Petes, i went to petes he test drove it and told the car was not fixed. After I droped the car off at petes and let him fix it. I was hesitant driving it off his lot. Well all I have to say is petes fixed what a major dealer couldnt.
Im a customer for life thanks again petes my truck drives perfect. Highly Recommend Petes. Thank You

Pete's is always busy, likely because people recognize it as the best place for car repairs. I suggest calling ahead to make an appointment. Trustworthy mechanics who know their stuff are hard to find these days, and Pete's offers fair pricing.

I called to ask about services offered, specifically if the shop was capable of "terminating brake lines in either a double or bubble flare" which is an incredibly basic and common service to offer should a customer need the end of a hard brake cleaned up or completely remade from a length of unformed line. The receptionist sounded confused about what I was talking about (massive red flag for your receptionist to not be more aware of what you're capable of) and stated she'd speak with someone and call me back. Given the relative simplicity of the task I requested, I anticipated I'd just wait on hold for a few minutes as the receptionist walked into the shop, asked my question, then got back to me. Instead I waited for a whole call back that never came. As a receptionist myself, you're the first line of service for the shop and you dropped the ball completely. At the very least, the receptionist needs removal or retraining by someone at least halfway competent at answering phones and the questions that come thru them, and that someone is clearly does not work there at this time. Hence the dumb receptionist response.
A basic job like this is a wonderful litmus test for the quality of the shop overall and how they treat a customer. I took this same call to "Our Planet Automotive" and they knew exactly what I wanted and got it done in an hour for $30. Made me a wonderful nickel-brass brake line with the proper flares and it fit in perfectly. Given I've got thousands of dollars worth of labor work alone to do on my car in the future, I'll happily take it to "Our Planet Automotive" instead of 'ole washed up Pete here. Buddy can't even get his receptionist crew in line, I can't expect him to manage the complicated ins and outs of an auto shop THAT well if his desk failed something so simple.
just go somewhere else.
TL;DR they're dumb and disorganized, take your business elsewhere. idiots couldn't even make it past a simple phone call. one star as this was such a basic task with such an abysmal failure.

On 11-29-23 I was in need of a car battery that was unexpected when I went to start my 2012 Honda CRV it was dead and I had to go to work my neighbor jump started my car and recommended to call "PETES AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES" since he has been a long time client of there's. I called IMMEDIATELY and spoke to Michelle told her of my situation and the emergency of having to go to work she explained she had to talk to Pete first to see if he could get me in since they are slammed pack with other car repairs upon her return call she said Pete would be willing to squeeze me in and I quickly drove to his business, talk about AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A OWNER! he replaced my battery and.. my back brake lights which btw i didn't know were out! this automotive car experience has made me a return customer for any other future car repair issues and all I can say if your looking for great customer service followed by HONEST WORK and extremely fair and reasonable rates of service then i strongly recommend this business.

Pete's was recommended by a good friend, who had been taking her vehicle there for years. Recommendations to me are very importation especially coming from someone who I've known and respected for years. Also I know this person only gives referrals, when we'll deserved.Prior to going to Pete's, I had a bad experience with a local business, mechanic and tire shop in the area (North Ave & Harlem). Went for an oil change, tire rotation and once over before putting my vehicle on the road in late June. Was told my radiator had a leak and it would be expensive to repair. Weeks prior, my husband vehicle had been leaking fluids on the garage floor, so i purchased two silver large cookie sheets from a auto mechanic store, to catch liquid and keep from staining the floor, put one under each vehicle. His vehicle did continue to leak and stain the pan, but my mine was clean nothing, and still looking new after several weeks. I explained this to the very polite and professional desk personnel. He insisted there was a leak. I'm panicking because I was unsure if we should put the vehicle on the road. But we did, stopping along the way to check the radiator fluids several times, never did the fluids go low even to today, That was in late June and here we are in mid October. When I took the vehicle to Pete's for brakes had him check the radiator for any leaks or abnormalities. Me Pete stated, there was no leaks and he looked fine, which saved me around 1700.00. Thank you Pete's!!!!!

I brought my car here because I moved far from my usual mechanic, I had a leak of my power steering fluid, every time I added some it would all pour out and make a mess and the wheel would become impossible to turn. I got charged $800+ for replacement of the power steering system, pricier than my usual mechanic but wouldn’t be such a huge deal if it had made any difference. It also took them like 5 days to get my car back to me. The fluid went right back to leaking everywhere, and my wheel to not working. So I took it to my usual mechanic and he said the power steering system was not changed, it was old and rusty, and it was just a $30 tube that got replaced. Anyway he fixed it up within a few hours for $450 and now it’s fine. Also replace my wipers with some cheap ones that my parents were mad about, which I didn’t ask for. My bf takes his car here all the time and raves about it so maybe they just mess with you if you’re a young woman :(Services: Steering & suspension repair

Hey Jeffy lube, learn my lesson, that the cheap shops want to fix all engine problems by using LUCAS OIL. I stated twice that my problem was that the camshaft were not working properly and oil was not on the right pressure. Still when I went back the supposed Profesional repeated the same thing I told him and said my problem would be fixed by doing an oil change. Of course he would recommend an oil change because that's the only thing he specializes in. This is worse than RATATOUILLE.
