Jay's the man. After another shop refused to take my 79' Turbo Coupe from the tow company, I called Jay and he happily let me drop my car off at his shop. He had my car fixed in under 24 hours for an unbeatable price.

I had an exhaust issue that I had Jay repair. When I picked up my truck, he said it seemed like he could make it run better so he advanced the timing. The truck was rebuilt 4 years ago and running great. I had just completed an 800 mile trip towing another vehicle on a trailer with this truck and had 0 issues. I never asked him to touch the engine! The timing advance he did was enough to cause detonation and blow rings on half the v8 and lose compression on that bank. Jay said he wasn't going to take responsibility and that he would not fix the issues. Another shop quoted me $4000 and said he had no business altering timing without asking and is completely liable for damage resulting from that timing advance. After all the money I've already put into the truck I can't afford to rebuild it a second time in 4 years, so now I have to sell it to try to recover a fraction of what I put into it. This man will take your money but he won't stand behind the decisions he makes while working on your vehicle.Services: Engine repair
