This is the tale of 2 dealerships, one that goes out of their way to ensure a great customer service and another that is the textbook definition of how to lose customers.First the background. I purchased a demo Yamaha YDX-Torc from a shop in New York and had it shipped to me in Missouri. The bikes warranty was transferred to me and had 2 years 11 months remaining on the factory warranty. When I went to charge the bike the first time I found that the charge port on the battery was broken.Dealer #1 – TNT Caddyshack Golf Cars and Traeder's TNT Yamaha – BUYER BEWAREI took the battery into TNT Caddyshack Golf Cars in Osage Beach Missouri (my local Yamaha Bicycle dealer), and talked to Charlie who runs the place. The first words out of his mouth were “Where did you buy this”. Not exactly the helpful attitude I would have expected. I explained my situation and he took down the information and said he would contact Yamaha and let me know what they said. I went back in 6 days later to see if he had an update. He stated that he had talked to them and was waiting on a call back. I left that day and called Yamaha Customer service to see if there was any information that they needed from me to complete the claim. Yamaha stated that there had been no contact about my bicycle and that they would be reaching out to TNT Caddyshack to see what need to be done. 3 days later Yamaha contacted me and asked me to reach out to Jason Traeder, the GM at Traeder's TNT Yamaha in Quincy Il that owns the store in Osage Beach Mo. I reached out to Jason and he stated he would handle the claim for me. I forwarded all information to him including pictures and waited. A week later I attempted to reach him via phone and email with no success. I called back to Yamaha and found that no action had been taken. To this date, almost a month later I have been unable to reach him for any resolution. If this is the way that they run the business now, I’m sure Gus is turning over in his grave.Dealer #2 – Gails Powersports – 5 Star Service! 5 Star Staff. Drive all the way across that state, its worth the tripAfter my experience with Traeders TNT Yamaha (See Dealer #1) I looked for the next closest Yamaha Bicycle dealer to me. I found Gails Powersports in Grandview, Missouri about 2.5 hours from me. I called their service department and explained my situation and to my surprise they said, “of course, we can help you with that”. I took the drive to Grandview and met with their General Manager Kenny Stallman, explained the situation, he filed the warranty claim while I was there and told me that he would cintact me as soon as he heard something back. 5 days later he let me know that the claim was approved, that the replacement battery was ordered and he would let me know when it came in. When the battery came in he let me know. We swapped out the batteries and the entire situation was rectified. This is how business should be done. During the whole process I felt like the had my best interest in mind, that they were genuinely invested in ensuring that I was happy with my Yamaha product. Words cannot adequately express how much I appreciate everything that Kenny and his staff did for me and they have earned a customer for life.

I was really not happy with tnt until my last inaction with them. They changed service managers and the new guy does not know how to talk to people he hangs upon you when you call him out for not following through on things he said he would do. I told him I would be coming after my stuff and when I arrived I could not get it because it was not ready. In the end they did deliver my four wheeler to me without confirming my address glad I didn't move or anything in the 4 months they had it. So much more I could say but just be safe and stay away. New service manager is rude hateful has not customer care experience and most of all does not follow through on what he says he will do.

Bought a Tracer 900 GT from TNT. Jason was very helpful and knowledgeable with the bike. Can't wait to come back and have it serviced!
