Man…I remember when Hy-Vee used to be about the customer experience. When I worked there, we were always told to interact with the customer at the register, thank the customer, walk them to the item and not just point and tell them where it was, etc. Now, the kids they have working in every department and ESPECIALLY at the registers don’t care at all about the customer. The amount of conversations I hear regarding whats going on later that night, whose girlfriend said what, or how they can’t stand the job, are too many to count. I doubt they get too high of scores on the “Secret Shopper” evaluations that are always done (or at least were done when I was working there). To end this, I will say that the only time I will ever be in this store again is when someone gets me a gift card. Even then, I may look at just selling it or giving it away. Such a shame a once fantastic store has gone downhill that much. To those there that do care about the customer, I apologize to you. Continue to do your job how it’s supposed to be done. Try to be a leader. But, the majority that I have seen make it extremely difficult to want to go to that store. It’s disappointing when I know many people that still work there.

very nice people that hyvee has hired, enjoyable atmosphere, when I have a question and sometimes I have troubles understanding they take time to explain the answer to me where I get it, no longer confused. thank for reading my opinion.

I show up with my bestfriends mother this morning at 730 am. She is a stage 4 cancer patient. At the door we are told to leave by the store manager himself, Steve Labs! I must be confused because I know the sign said the first hour of the day is reserved for at risk people, people over 60, expecting mothers and anyone with a compramised immune system.....

I was in store yesterday and was amazed by the efforts I witnessed by your employees. I saw three employees doing nothing but sanitizing surfaces that would have the most contact, and that was just in my check out lane. Thank you for all you are doing to keep your employees and shoppers safe.

What a bad experience this evening at HyVee Market Grill Express. It’s unfortunate, but this is the second bad experience. I could excuse one faux pas, but a myriad of blunders made for an unpleasant dining experience AGAIN. At approximately 6:30, there were only two women serving the Chinese buffet with a line of 10+ people waiting. We enter a busy Grille Express - not greeted, no problem. We were NEVER waited on. Two different blonde female servers walked by multiple times.
