I had problems with with my muffler making a loud noise. I had went to another place for an estimate and this place and they gave me a great price! They gave me a lot of different options to fix it, either to replace the whole thing or to patch it up. I was only looking to get it patched up and they did a great job for a great price. Drove off with a quiet muffler! The service was great too. I definitely recommend and would go back.

Joe is very personable and professional and explained my cars needs in detail and provided ways that might save me money on different options of repair. Had brakes and muffler work done on 07/24/24.
Dropped off the car at 9:15am, got the call is was done by 3:50.
Great job and an even better price and guarantee on work.

DO NOT GO HERE! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CHARGE MORE THAN HALF THE PRICE FROM ANOTHER PLACE!
I am currently at Discount mufflers in Carpentersville and the guy showed us how they installed half of the muffler and asked how much the other place had us pay. This place charged us $490.00 and this guy said he would of had us pay $220.00... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THESE PEOPLE THEY DON'T DO A GOOD JOB AND HALF THE JOB ALONG WITH OVERPRICED!

My last review below is 3 years old, but today I went to that shop again, and I am amazed and shocked even more.
I could not remove my rear license plate, because the screws rusted inside. Toyota dealership wanted $174 to fit it, so recalled about Mexico Mufflers & Brakes and went there.
They were very busy, and I didn't have an appointment, but Joe in the office got my car in 15 minutes, and Alfonso fixed the problem.
I assume he ground off the screw caps, then drilled new holes, tapped new threads, and put new hex head screws.
Whatever he did was quick, and you will never guess how much they charged me - NOTHING! I just tipped Alfonso.
Can you find any other place like this? THEY ARE SAINTS! THANKS!
