TL;DR - Didn't repair then asked for passcode. Don't ever share your passcode.
Scheduled an appointment and dropped off my phone for a repair (screen replacement - working, but with bad pixels). It was powered on and working, but locked. I returned to pick it up 2 hours later as they instructed. The phone hadn't been touched. Wasn't repaired. They said they needed my passcode/pin to log in and run diagnostics. This was not communicated to me at any point prior, and I would not have attempted to utilize their services had I known this. Under no circumstances, ever, give your phone passcode/pin to a random person that has unmonitored access. Your life is on that phone - financial/banking apps, the ability to reset passwords, smart home controls, all your contacts, location & location history, etc. There's no reason to give someone access unless absolutely necessary (this was not one of those times). Instead, when I dropped it off, they should have asked me to put it in Repair/Maintenance Mode before I left so they could run any tests they needed without being able to access my data. Since they did not repair, nor ask for a safe method of phone access, I would be quite wary of this business.
