Top Notch remodeled my master bathroom.
Michael designed the shower and it worked out great for me.
I was so happy with the outcome that I hired them to remodel another bathroom and also had several other smaller projects. Everything turned out awesome. Michael went above and beyond with everything.
Michael and Robert are great to work with.
I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them!!!!

We have used Top Notch Remodeling Inc for 3 major home renovations in the past 10 years. The fact that we contine to return to them and trust in them speaks volumes. In each of these home remodel projects, Top Notch has exceeded our expectations.
The first thing you will notice about the company is when you schedule your first appointment with Michael, he will actually answer your call. Not only that, he will show up for your meeting on time (or early!). And then, you will have an estimate for the general design, pricing and timing of your project by the time he leaves your home. We have not worked with any other contractors who can check all of these boxes!
Michael tries very hard to listen and understand his clients' goals. If someone is trying to stick to a budget, he will work with that and guide you to the right vendors and design to make it happen. On the other hand, if you are ready to splurge on your high end project, he will make that work for you, too.
The best part is when the project begins, his employees show up exactly when Michael tells you they will. It's incredibly helpful to be able to count on this.
The overall timing & planning of the projects is exceptional. If Michael tells you demo will last 2 days, it lasts 2 days, If he says drywall will take 3 days, it will take three days. There is never a pause in the work-- Michael somehow manages to schedule each aspect of the job with precision. As I mentioned earlier, we have worked with Top Notch 3 times, and not a single one of thse projects has run late.
Additionally, each one of his employees we encountered is polite and also very thoughful about the client's home and privacy. They are also extremely tidy, and efficient! I felt very comfortable with each person who did the work. Our whole family enjoyed getting to know them! Any time I had a concern or question, Michael promptly answered my texts and calls. Communication is excellent.
Finally, if something is not up to your standard or expectation, Michael takes the time to make it right. And there is never a delay on making it right, either. He always makes sure his current project gets priority. He fully completes each project before moving on to the next.
Any time a friend asks for a contractor recommendation, we refer them to Top Notch without hesitation. They truly live up to their name, "Top Notch"!

We had Michael and his team add a bathroom to our upstairs. It was a tight space and required some creativity, but Michael had great vision and made it work beautifully. It is much more spacious than I thought it even could be! I can't recommend them enough! Great attention to detail and personalized service. We will be using their services for any project again in the future.

I’m just fully and utterly disappointed. This review is coming months after my project was “finished” because I don’t believe in reacting in anger. But I can’t sit in my tub or stand in my bathroom without seeing the mess that I paid good money for.This company is called top notch and yet I received some bottom rung remodeling work. Michael was referred to me by a friend who had his company do work in her house. She assured me that he and his team were the best in the business when it comes to tile work and remodeling. But it has become clear to me that I was sent the B team on my project. I’m sure in their world my $20,000 project wasn’t worth the time because someone was probably spending more than that, so their efforts went there.Let’s start by the false promises made. I hired Michael in September of 2022. Michael told me that they couldn’t start my project until March of 2023. I immediately said, no I can’t wait that long because another clown of a contractor already messed up and my bathroom was in ruins. To get my money, Michael promised he could move things around and start in Jan/Feb. I really wanted to work with him based on the recommendation so I agreed. The project was started on March 13th, so I ended up waiting anyway.The 2 workers in my house that did everything, tile, electric, plumbing, painting, etc were very nice but clearly are handymen and not professionals in any of those specific fields. Every single fixture in my bathroom has leaked since completion of the project - sink which ruined the vanity and they had to replace it, toilet the first time I used it, drain under the tub which leaked into my living room ceiling and ruined it, and the shower door that leaks out water every time I open it. You might be thinking, oh, that’s the door that’s a problem, but it’s not. The curb from the shower is angled out so the water pools at the door and then floods out when I open it. The leaks were seemingly fixed but Michael didn’t even address the improperly angled curb. He ignored it which means I just have to live with it I guess.The tile work is incredibly sloppy, with black grout from the floor smeared up the sides of the walls. The ceiling and wall drywall are messy and have cracks and lines in them. I’m basically waiting for the next thing to fail.My living room ceiling that was ruined from the tub leak was patched horribly. The workers also wanted to just paint the patch they made. I had to force them to paint the whole ceiling to make it look somewhat presentable. And, before they even fixed the ceiling they tried convincing me that the leak was from something else (my chimney, a tree root?, me being too rough in my tub and breaking its seal with Michael throwing in a dirty and inappropriate sex joke). Michael had the nerve to ask me to book another bathroom remodel with me in tears while his crew was tearing apart my living room.Michael is a schmoozer. He talks and smiles and pretends to care. I never was fooled by him but I let him make his over the top gestures all the while thinking, who cares, if he does the job right? But the job wasn’t done right. And to top it off, he got into a screaming match with my friend who stood up for me and called him out on his BS. Instead of profusely apologizing to me for what he put me through, I haven’t heard from Michael since.Think long and hard before spending thousands of dollars with this company. My bathroom is beautiful, thanks to my design, but it is tainted every time I see their shoddy work.Photos below: leaking water out of shower from improperly angled curb, “patched” living room ceiling, picture of pipe under tub that leaked before being sealed differently (no crack), picture of the resolution for the leaking tub (fingers crossed on that one), pictures of the leaking sink when it happened - nothing was placed in the vanity yet, aka I didn’t do it.

I took a risk in hiring Michael based off prior reviews. They were excellent, so I called for a consult. Michael was very professional and came with an extensive portfolio and references. I hired him for both the back porch deck and a bathroom remodel. Eric worked on both and did a fantastic job! He was on time daily and finished both jobs as promised! He cleaned the work area every day before leaving. The deck and bathroom look amazing and I will use Michael for future projects hands down! Top Notch & Michael K. were outstanding. The work was very professional, up front & on-time. Michael did a full basement for my home. He came up with some unique design elements that gave us more for less in comparison to other companies. We added a great room, laundry room, wet bar, full bath & office. His guys stuck to the time table and were right on the proposed budget. His pricing was very competitive also. Following my renovation I had a small plumbing issue & Michael was able to get guys out to help me finish that project in no time flat. We just got done with finishing our basement and couldn't be happier with the entire process. We have worked with other contractors on past projects but Mike and his team are by far the best we have worked with. They were very professional, clean, stayed within the budget and came up with good suggestions when planning the layout. Quality craftsmanship, we are very happy with how everything came out. Robert did great work on both our master bath and our hall bath. We love the results which are both highly functional and beautiful. The scope of our project was very large including a large multiple head shower with bench, stand alone tub, two large walk in closets and a utility closet, recirculating pump and heated floors.Michael is fair and stays very close to the work, responding quickly to any issue but also supporting his outstanding crew.Without hesitation, I recommend Top Notch Remodeling.

Top Notch, Michael Kennedy saved my parents from a total nightmare. They hired a company who did the worst work I've ever seen. Top Notch came in and had to do total tear down and finished so quickly with the end result....simply beautiful. Highly recommend to all. The photos with the dark wood is before and the one with the beautiful deck/stairs is after.

Renovated master bathroom and another bathroom totally gutting all and installed new vanity, toilet, enlarged the shower and installed new tile, flooring etc. Very pleased with the workmanship and price. Our experience withTopNotch Remodeling was an excellent! We had a master bath completely remodeled. We had a 1970’s bathroom. Now we have a magazine dream master bath! Michael laid out a design for us and was involved in every step, and available for any questions we had. Eric did all the construction work and was so pleasant, efficient, and so skilled !
