Used to recommend Hometown to anyone who asked. Now I recommend elsewhere. While the owner (?) seems to be very bland she got the job done for what my dog needed, nothing fancy just maintenance. If you are in need of a groomer who does not ask for vaccination proof, this is your place. However note that, my dog has not come home the past few times after the appointments acting right. Seemed afraid. Fur that should not have been cut and never had been cut was missing after the last appointment. I myself am afraid as to what could have happened while my dog was in Hometown's care during the past few visits. In the beginning of my dog's groomings at Hometown my dog would come home fine, and that had changed which is where my concern arose. I have since gone elsewhere multiple times and my dog has not returned frightened after any appointments. A new groomer has had nothing but great things to say about my dog and I get pictures throughout the process. There are plenty of other groomers in the area who work lovingly with your dog!

unfortunately this is the 1st and last time i’ll bring my dogs here. I have bulldogs and they have the be FULLY dried otherwise their wrinkles will get raw and become hot spots. my poor guys face was not dried and now both sides of his snout and raw bloody and sore. he has NEVER had that before. not once! i’m very good about keeping their wrinkles clean and dry. the next pic is my other dogs nails. they were long bc she had bad anxiety so we only do nails when they’re long. however the way they were cut doesn’t even look like anything was taken off. i’m highly HIGHLY dissatisfied. i’ve never had my dog groomed before I usually do all their grooming and after this I will continue to do so. so if you have a wrinkly dog, i’m not sure this is the place for grooming. the spots on my boys face my require a vet visit if i can’t clear it up in a day or 2.

My groomer was Lindsey. My dog got razor burn when Lindsey groomed him. When I called her she said that was length of poodle clean face so that's how short she took him and I get that, but I still don't know why he got razor burn. He's 9 years old, he gets groomed regularly and I know it's not normal to walk out with a burn. When I sent pictures and spoke with Lindsey she took no responsibility. My dog was not matted and deserved better treatment than that. My dog cannot wear his inflatable collar until this heals, which is worrisome because he gets itchy around his hip area and tries to chew, this has caused infections in the past, which could cost me a vet visit. I explained this to her and her response was to put Neosporin on it, then followed up with 'good luck honey' and hung up. Obviously, Lindsey didn't notice what was happening with his skin while she was grooming him and clearly could have cared less after the fact when she was told. This whole issue aside, when my other dog was returned to me her collar was so loose after her groom it fell off in the parking lot and she started running. Thank goodness she stopped running and the girl at the counter in the shop (not the groomer) saw me and came outside to help. I paid $98 for two grooms and in good faith that I'd gotten good service left a $22 tip. Last, they don't wear face coverings, at least not when they greet customers. So, if your good with a groomer who doesn't notice or appear to care about the welfare of your animal or people in the community go to Hometown Grooming.
