I love to shop at Aldi! Their produce is exceptional as is the quality of almost all their products. I find it a very friendly place to shop and I love the savings I get there!

I love shopping at Aldi! I have 3 near my house and I love them all. For everyone complaining about high food prices? You are just not shopping in the right place, you need to shop at Aldi.
Example - price comparison of whipped cream in the can
Well-known grocery store - $9.99
Aldi - $3.29
Aldi is the best!

Great prices but produce must be eaten within a couple days. Already ripe when purchased. That's my only complaint about aldi.

I haven't had the opportunity to step into an Aldi store for 3-4 years. I was actually excited, to find out that there was one, 1.5 miles away from where I was staying in Plainfield. It was a beautiful day, so I decided to go on a walk. Once there, I noticed there was several clean carts available, after I picked one, I then proceeded through the front door.
The store only opened it's doors a little over a year prior. It was well stocked, clean and organized. The wind of the fresh cold air met my sweaty head and face. So refreshing and nice to feel that after that scroll. As I walked in, Aldi employees were warm welcoming, helpful and very friendly.
I understand, that the selection of produce, can be at times questionable. As in this case, it was the bananas. Most looked as though they should have been discarded 4 days prior. Most of them had many dark spots on them and the others were very soft to the touch. I did end up with the best bundle that I could find and knew they needed to be consumed very quick. Check out went faster than I expected. There was a customer already paying before me. And as I was trying to unload my cart onto the conveyor belt, I was trying to be quicker or even keep pace with the cashier. She was polite and asked, how my day was going and if I found everything I was looking for. I haven't been in an Aldi store for over 3 years and I was surprised to see, that there was a few Express Self-Checkout lanes in there now. Other than that the cost of some items went up, (to be expected) the stores haven't changed much since I remember them last. Which is very convenient, since I remembered where everything was. It hasn't changed a bit. Luckily, a family member came to pick me up and the now CART FILLED FULL OF GROCERIES. I always have to laugh, at the different merchandise for sale, in the middle of the store. Overall, it was a fun and pleasant experience, shopping there again. I just know, there was something else, I forgot to get. I must go back!
Thank you to the Aldi staff.

The stock is always low and the prices don't beat getting the name brand product anymore.

I like aldi and what they offer. We left a quarter in the cart to pay it forward to whomever and saw someone taking the quarters out for themselves when we left.Oddly enough they were driving an expensive SUV ?

Worked at this aldi for several months. The district mananger and store manager do not care about the employees. Despite me telling them upon my interview that I have multiple mental disorders and that I needed direct and honest communication I did not recieve that. I was told several times that I was being considered for a promotion but passed up for the position multiple times with no reasoning told to me as to why I did not get it. They also lied to me in my interview about how many hours I would be recieving every week, with part-time employees recieving more hours than a lot of their full-time employees. I was also expected to toss 50-60lb boxes of frozen food several inches over my head because I’m only 4’11 with no accomodations. When I brought this up to the district manager I was told they could get me a step stool….I’m sorry I fail to understand how using a step stool into a freezer with ice all over the ground would be safer than what I was doing already, not to mention the step stool was not OSHA certified. Then when I reacted according to the behavior I warned them about for several months in regards to my disorder I was fired. Direct discrimination. The rest of the staff is absolutely lovely and should not be regarded in the same sense as the two in charge.
