1920 4th St, PeruAs close to a Texas BBQ joint as you're going to get in northern Illinois. Brisket was tender and just the right amount of smoke, same with the chicken. Coleslaw was average but cornbread was outstanding. Ribs were also really good. Great beer selection and a full bar.

Parking: Small parking lot and then free parking on residential side street
Kid-friendliness: Not your typical kid menu - if your kids are the pizza/burger/nuggets/fries type, this place is a skip for you. It's all BBQ; the kids menu is simply smaller portions.
