Edwin's Roadhouse aka Miami Gardens is a Prohibition Era Roadhouse opened in 1929, and was an Al Capone speakeasy with restaurant, illegal booze and brothel. Today we are a fully licensed bar featuring beer, wine and liquors with gaming machines and friendly atmosphere. The history of our building is about the original proprietor, Henry A. Baumann, and the early Chicago Outfit. The dance hall remains original from the early days and is viewable by appointment only. Souvenirs available include Capone postcards, pens, t-shirts and booklet "MIAMI GARDENS - The Secret Roadhouse of Al Capone," by William D Towler, featuring documented proof of our Capone connection, and "The Wisdom of Al Capone," a unique Capone book by author William J. Helmer.
