RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center is a state of the art, medically-based fitness center and a joint project between the Peoria Park District and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. It is fully equipped with a variety of the latest cardio machines, plate-loaded machines, selectorized machines, and free weights. The facility offers an indoor four-lane track, over 130 weekly group exercise classes at no extra cost, and a rock climbing wall. The AquaPlex area features different types of pools, including lanes, a free swim pool, a heated walking pool with rails, a lazy river, a wavy pool playground, a jacuzzi, and a steam room. The location is next to the Peoria River and near a trail, with a playground outside. The locker rooms are clean and charging stations are available. Many find it a wonderful place with great amenities for everyone, including a wide selection of workout equipment and friendly, alert staff. Members enjoy the classes and facilities, noting it is a great place to take kids and get a good workout without feeling rushed. A discount is available for some groups. Some downsides noted are the monthly cost for others, parking that can be difficult, and occasional issues with equipment like the sauna or the rock climbing wall being covered.
Great place for class workouts and the indoor pool and indoor rock wall are a plus.

Appreciate the variety this gym has to offer. And the sauna this winter was a lifesaver. Needs a few updates, but overall it’s been a good spot for us!

Looks like a wonderful place for those in service, going to school, Health care workers ect. they get a good discount. However, if your not it costs 60$ a mo. I considered going here till i saw that.
