The service person saw I had my laptop and I had mentioned I was stuck in conference calls all day. She allowed me use of a vacated office, which made things MUCH easier for me. That act alone made me walk out to the salesfloor after my service was finished and asked if they had any new trucks. Ended up buying a new 24 Tundra!

Thank you so much for checking our tire pressure for us. We got in to go home and the low tire sensor was on. We headed straight for Peoria Toyota to have it checked. They checked all tires no charge. Just low because of the cold. Thanks to the man service writer who helped us.

This is officially the worst service department I've ever been to. They installed a heater blower motor in 2021 and it quit in 2023. After calling them about this, they said it's out of warranty and there's nothing they can do. I asked to speak to the service manager, told him the situation (IIRC, his name was Pete) and asked if they honor their work, since either it wasn't installed correctly, they used a bad part or didn't diagnose it correctly. He said, sure, we can take a look at it, does Monday at 8am work for you? So I made the appointment.I live an hour away and drove there by 8am, and used work vacation time to be there. I get there and the front line worker said it's not under warranty and there will be a diagnostic fee. I tell him the manager said they would honor their work and take a look at it. He gets the manager I spoke to and the manager said they can take a look at it but there will be a diagnostic fee. He also said it would be the regular price to replace it.He asked why I didn't bring it in before the warranty was up and I said I didn't need the heater in the summer time and didn't know it went bad. That question was random and made no sense other than it's clear this whole time he was trying to deflect their failure. I told him that he said they'd honor their work and take a look at it. He said, yes, we'll look at it but there's a diagnostic fee. I told him I wish he told me that before I took time off work and drove an hour to get there. He bulged his eyes, stared right at me and in front of everyone said in a harsh combative tone: "I'm sorry you misunderstood me" as if it was my fault he misled me to believe they'd honor their work.. or maybe I 'misunderstood' him and didn't realize he meant they honor their bad work by not doing anything about it.I bought a replacement part from O'Reilly auto parts and will be installing it myself. The O'Reilly parts rep told me it has a lifetime warranty (and I never mentioned a warranty). So not only did Peoria Toyota use a bad part, it also had a bad warranty and they implied that because they bought a bad part with a bad warranty, I have to pay full price for them to install it again just 2.2 years later so they can screw it up again.

I had an issue with the driver's seat in my Toyota Camry. It had cracked. I purchased the bumper to bumper inside and out. When I first contacted the dealership I found out the car had not even been transferred in my name when I bought it. They had no copy of my bumper to bumper warrenty or the guarantee Of the coverage inside and out. After 3 days of arguing they found my documentation and then told me nothing was covered. At the end of the day my car was fixed and the dealership split the cost. I then asked if the warrant T I purchased on the car was nationwide they said yes but it was not a Toyota warrant T that was sold to me it was a third party warranty. I was told not all dealerships or repair shops will honor it. I was not told that at all when they were selling me this. It was sold to me as a Toyota product. My entire experience with this dealership has been a nightmare. Good luck

Let me preface this review by saying to any car buyers looking to this dealership: STAY AWAY!!! This dealership is shady and scummy and certainly not in the business to sell vehicles. Long story short, I have been waiting nearly ten months for a new hybrid Highlander. I reached out to Peoria Toyota as they are about two hours south of where I live to see if they may have any vehicles available or coming in their next allocation. Come to find out, they had one available. I happened to notice in the break down of other cars on the website that they add paint protection (luxcare) and VIN etching as dealer add ons of course. These are two of the biggest scams dealerships are forcing upon people. So I asked the sales representative, Toby if these things could please be removed and if so, I would be happy to discuss moving forward and putting a deposit down. It didn't take long for an argument to ensure regarding the refusal to remove these "MANDATORY" add ons. Upon telling Toby that as customers we both know that these two items are gimmicks and simply money makers for the dealership, he began to lie stating that "most" customers like the paint protection and that these add ons are their way of making sure these cars are available. Childish ridiculousness aside from both Toby, the salesman and later Todd, the general manager, dealer add ons are NOT MANDATORY and it is criminal to force them onto customers desperate for vehicles. Dealer add ons are OPTIONS that if a customer wishes to pay for, then that is their choice. Not to mention the fact that this dealership is among those that also charges an additional 2k mark up. This dealership is shady and scummy and being treated as if I were born yesterday is a disgrace. I cannot complain of the additional mark up but I will ensure that everyone knows of the criminal acts of this dealership scamming customers into paying for worthless add ons that add ZERO value or help "protect the paint" and claim that "many customers actually like it." I have reported this dealership to the Better Business Bureau as well as the Illinois Attorney General for fraudulent business practices and scamming customers. I bought my 2009 Highlander new at this dealer and it's gone there for service since. They are under new management; took my car in; blowing hot air when the A/C was on. $2,000 for a new A/C which they replaced. On the final bill, there was an additional $175.00 charge for a diagnostic fee; this was the charge for them to determine it was the A/C. Transparency; that was removed from my bill because it wasn't on the estimate. However, I was told there would be a diagnostic fee added any time I brought the car in with a problem; whether or not I have the work done there, which I always do. A/C works great. I had a loaner car from them the full 5 days my car was with them. Very friendly. Only 4 stars because I think this practice is unethical.

They tested all cars coming in for wheel alignment and gave the option of correcting and paying for it.

I've been going here awhile now and the experience is always pleasant. They really have left the old car-buying and -owning ways back in the past. Never felt pressured to get something I didn't need. They always explain what's going on and if you can put something off, they're honest about it.The longest I've had to wait there was about 3 hours when I got all four wheels replaced. Most trips are less than an hour though.Staff is friendly and they seem to be treated well. They also have free espresso while you wait!

We purchased our vehicle last year from O Brien. The actual purchase took 10 hours. They had one finance manager and a list of people buying. With two kids, it was ridiculous. They ended up botching the paper work and we were dealing with it months after. The vehicle was overpriced and they gave us significantly under KBB for our trade. Furthermore, we recently took it in for a repair, they kept it a week. We got it back and noticed the problem was still there. They never fixed it! I'd never purchase from them again.

Used car buyer bewareWe purchased a car for our son the end of May, a 2014 equinox, and paid $14,500.the sales team was fine, Of course we thought the price was high but we felt that was common through the used car dealers, and looking at other dealers it was a median price. We got a few small things fixed on the car to make it a safe and long lasting mode of transportation for our son. On Oct 1 the engine failed and stopped working with no indications or warnings. We got the car towed to a garage and tried to trouble shoot on how to move forward and what we can do. O'Brien was of no help to us, no help on finding an new engine, offering help with mechanics, towing, finding a deal new car or at the very least trouble shooting with us to make a plan. We were dropped! Customer service was a very bad experience for us and not a place I would buy a used car in the future.

My hybrid camry has 30-58% lower efficiency after I brought it in here to have the gas cap replaced. It also has scrape marks at the rear that were not there when I brought the car in. This dealership seems to be playing a game of trying to run down cars so people buy new with them. They had quoted more than $200 when I made the appointment, but they must have done something idiotic to my car, because they told me the services were free. They seemed very guilty about something but said service was free due to lateness - 15 min or so past their closing time, which is not much of a inconvenience at all. Very suspicious. Do not bring your vehicle here if you can help it.
