I’ve bought here and brought the watches here for repairs, battery changes, and to remove or add links. Five stars isn’t enough, their excellent team is super helpful with everything.

They replaced the capacator on my wife's Citizen watch in quick fashion. I was pleased that I was able to find somebody in the Peoria, Illinois area to perform this service. They had it done within 10 days and called me as promised when it was done. They also repaired a watch band while I waited after the front desk attendant took it back into the shop for inspection. Should I need watch service or repair in the future they will be my go to choice.

Great service at very reasonable prices. The staff are super nice and friendly. They changed batteries of two of my watches— it was fast and they did a good job. Apart from servicing watches, they also sell and service clocks.

Dropped off a diving watch for some repairs plus battery replacement, which has had **many** battery replacements by other jewelers with the backing taken off/put back on through-out the years without any problem, and when I got the watch back supposedly 'repaired' (which was not cheap at all), not only was it not water-proof anymore, which I accepted, but then, a couple weeks later with **normal** wear the backing somehow fell off and got lost...\nWhen I dropped off the watch again to get repaired a second time, I was told that I was liable for this and it would be an extra cost, that the repair guarantee did not cover this...\nThe backing of a watch is not exactly easy to get off, requiring special tools, etc. Additionally the watch has a contiguous band, so the backing is the most unexposed/protected area of a watch in some ways---all of which I tried to rationalize with them, arguing that they probably had put it on loose to begin with---again watch backings to not just 'fall off' on their own...but none of which they were accepting to hear or agreeable to--blaming me that I had lost or damage it--- Do they think I took a hammer to the back of my watch?!.. or maybe one night I was just bored, and thought I'd try to pry it open?!... I mean really, let's think about this---a repair person, who needs special equipment just opened-up the casing and now the casing comes apart shortly after doing this and its my fault?!... They only thing they could say over the phone is that their repairs go through \

I would NOT go here or trust them to any repair. I dropped off a Guess diving watch that was given as a father's day gift to me from my daughter 16 years ago for some repairs plus battery replacement (ie so has had **many** battery replacements by other jewelers with the backing taken off/put back on through-out the years without any problem), and when I got the watch back supposedly 'repaired' (which was not cheap at all), not only was it not water-proof anymore, which I accepted, but then, a couple weeks later with **normal** wear the backing somehow fell off and got lost...When I dropped off the watch again to get repaired a second time, I was told that I was liable for this and it would be an extra cost, that the repair guarantee did not cover this...Now, the backing of a watch is not exactly easy to get off, requiring special tools, etc. Additionally the watch has a contiguous band, so the backing is the most unexposed/protected area of a watch in some ways---all of which I tried to rationalize with them, arguing that they probably had put it on loose to begin with---again watch backings do not just 'fall off' on their own...but none of which they were accepting to hear or agreeable to; instead blaming me that I had lost or damage it---I mean really, how does that occur?... Do they think I took a hammer to the back of my watch?!.. or maybe one night I was just bored, and thought I'd try to pry it open?!... I mean really, let's use some common sense and think about this---a repair person, who needs special equipment just opened-up the casing, and now the casing comes apart shortly after doing so, and its my fault?!... They only thing they could say over the phone is that their repairs go through "extensive quality checks, etc, etc" none of which they could specifically tell me about, but instead just relying on this broad nonspecific language that was supposed to reassure and convince me that they it wasn't their issue...I would agree with other posts in terms of the this company having the worst customer service ever---it doesn't seem like my experience was unusual at all. The proverbial icing on the cake however was appreciating that the person I was talking to could not appreciate/understand what I was trying to say, I tried to make a car mechanic example, stating that if someone was working on the engine recently, and now the hood latch of the car recently started not working, wouldn't one correlate that to something that recently happened, for which I was the person on the phone told me she "wasn't going to discuss semantics with me" and stated she would have a manager call back, for which she abruptly hung up the phoneThere's other watch companies in the Peoria area----if you truly want your watch fixed, go there instead--they deserve to go out of business.RESPONSE TO OWNER:I would check the watch's casing----it originally was supposed to be water-proof to 30 meters, so I don't know what you consider a diving watch, and yes its guess, but it certainly was originally water proof enough for routine swimming, water exposure etc. Additionally, in your own reply, you essentially acknowledge that the backing is hard to get off, so how do you think that I possibly damaged or hurt it myself with routine wear? You essentially just forfeited your own argument for everyone to see that there basically was not reasonable way that I did this. As a business owner, For a $50 repair, I seriously do not understand why you would rather volley back and forth on yelp, versus just saying "I'm sorry sir, we'll fix it..." Do you really think the above and you below explanation is helping your business grow and have a good reputation?..

I brought my Breitling to them, Tim did an amazing job fixing it. It took less than a week and when I got it back it was polished and looked brand new, Service of my watch was cheaper than sending it to breitling who quoted more than Parsec and estimated a 12 week turnaround. Parsec will continue to get my business

The prices they charge are crazy. To add a stainless band to a watch from $12-$25. I did not buy the band from them! This is the last time for me. A few years ago I brought my wife's 18kyg Bulgari for a battery replacement they told me it was not the battery. I picked up the watch and went to Potter and Anderson. It was the battery but there was a small piece of plastic that kept the battery in contact which they lost at Parsec. The watchmaker at Potter and Anderson cut another piece for me and all was good. Parsecs rating of 3.9 out of five stars is well deserved. TYou told me you could not fix the Bulgari because parts were not available while in fact the watch worked fine when a new plastic stabilizer was cut and placed with the new battery. Your 200 years of expertise could not figure this out.

I've been going to Parsec for almost 20 years because other jewelry stores recommended them to me from the start.

Pathetic "business." Ruined my watch and charged me and arm and a leg for it. Literally came back in worse shape than it went in. Paint missing from several numbers, Swiss parts replaced with parts from China, just looks like no care was given whatsoever. Sent an email to their customer service with no response. Won't let me post before and after pics here but literally a joke. Hopefully they will take care of this BS. Negative 0 stars.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship I received from Parsec! They had to completely rebuild the interior workings of my grandmother's vintage watch, and they did a beautiful job!! They also replaced more than what the original estimate stated at no additional charge. It did take a VERY long time (5 months) to complete this project, however, due to the complexity of the project AND that it was during the pandemic---It was totally worth the wait! THANK YOU so much! I'm certain it looks as beautiful as when it was first purchased.

Took a watch in on a Tues., was told to expect a repair estimate within 24 ro 48 hrs. I called on Thurs. and left a message. No answer, no response. I called on Fri., left a message. No answer, no response. After 2 days of inquiry with no call back or response, I tried again on Mon. in the morning. Same.Monday afternoon, I called and left a message saying I was reporting the watch stolen, and to expect the police at their address. They called me back in about 2 min! They gave me an estimate of $112 to replace the movement and the battery. This was a $50 watch, and I provided them with a new battery when I took it in.Needless to say, I went and picked up my watch. I won't go back.
