I came here looking for cross-training shoes. The staff was very helpful in finding me the right shoe style and right size. I was unsure about the pair I tried on, and the salesman was not pushy at all about getting me to purchase them, which I appreciated. They also had a nice selection of casual/business casual shoes for women (and for men too, I think, though I didn't look at the men's section in detail admittedly). I ended up buying a pair of nice leather shorter-style heels just because they looked so well made and durable. I didn't have a need, but they also seemed to have a great selection of work boots if that's something you're looking for.

Very helpful old-fashioned service. Went here to purchase steel-toed work shoes as per my company's voucher. Took me several boots, but I finally settled on a pair of Timberlines. I was very appreciative of the patience and help of the salesman who helped me. Evidently they've been in Peoria for 105 years. I grew up here and was never aware of them, but thinking of going back now for personal purchases.

Very genuine, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Got me into some great steel-toe boots - of which they have a huge selection.There is expertise, history, and knowhow under this roof that can only manifest after 100+ years of operation. It was very apparent how these kinds of conveniences are simply impossible to achieve at chain stores where turnover is every 6 months.Great people - will be coming back, and sending all my friends, too.

I had never been in the store before but had heard good things about it so since I’m dealing with a foot injury and needed a new pair of shoes I tried them. The person who helped me was very friendly and patient with me and went through as many pairs as he needed until he found me a pair that I could walk without pain. I did have pain later in the day, but I also had been walking all day in an orthopedic boot so my foot was probably over used already

Always get my shoes there. Have tried a couple other places but you won't find anyone anywhere that is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! Always great service!!

Excellent!!! I was greeted with a smile and genuine ask if I needed help. Very knowledgeable staff to go thru the different styles of safety shoes. Also, they knew right away the requirements needing to be met for working at the foundry.
