A friend recommended and after researching them we made our first in home appointment. After taking our 12 year old long hair chi to the same vet her whole life... we weren't happy with their care as she's gotten sick and looking at end of life care. As well as the 30 minute drive that made her anxious. We were so happy with Dr. Springman and Anne. We are watching and keeping her comfortable for now. We are very happy with their care. I feel at ease we have a plan for a very difficult time in our dogs life.

Hometown Veterinary was recommended to me. I'm so glad I went with them. They have taken such care of my baby boy since I got him. The team has even answered my text after hours. My pup has been pretty healthy, only a few times I've had to call with concerns. I love the fact they come to your home. The entire team is friendly and honest and only wants the best for you and your pet. I have recommended them to others as I have had such great care from Hometown.

"He is past his sell by date," Those are the exact words the veterinarian chose when telling me that my dog should be euthanized. But let's back up a bit first as how I came to Hometown Veterinary Clinic. My senior dog, a 14 year old Welsh Terrier, had been getting fussy with his usual groomer. I found that Hometown has a mobile grooming van and I thought that might be easier on him than a car ride to an unfamiliar place. The groomer came and did a great job. It was much more expensive but I thought it was worth it to provide a little comfort to our aging dog.A few months later he was ready for another cut, only this time the groomer wasn't able to cut his hair at all and instead returned him bathed. She waived the $30 grooming fee, but still left us with a $120 bill. Okay, we knew he was fussy, so we booked an in house grooming session and thought we might as well have the vet check him out at the same time. Upon arrival the vet examined him for under two minutes, in the waiting room, and declared him, "past his sell by date," and recommended euthanasia, because of his arthritis. To be clear, this is not the first time I've had to discuss end of life planning with a Vet, but this was not a discussion. Any anecdotal information I tried to provide was quickly brushed aside as the visit turned into an outright admonishment for having the audacity to allow our dog to live so long. We declined the euthanasia and instead asked for our dog to be groomed, as was intended. She wrote a prescription for anti-inflammatories and we left for the 30 minutes the grooming was to take. When we came back we found they had given him the worst haircut he had ever had in his life and charged us an additional $20 Restraining Fee. So at this point we have spent nearly $200 for this awful haircut, and they had the nerve to ask us if we wanted to tip. We declined, collected our dog, and left. It was easily the most upset I've ever been leaving a groomer or vet, including times in the past when I've actually had euthanize a pet.So, should you engage Hometown Veterinary Clinic's mobile grooming service? Not if your dog is in any way fussy, otherwise you might end up paying $120 for a bath. How about their in house service? It's considerably cheaper, which is good, because you likely still won't be satisfied should they decide to stop grooming. What about the Vet services? Well, I didn't disagree with the Vet's diagnosis but the total lack of bedside manner was legitimately disturbing. This is the hardest conversation you will ever have with your vet, how would you feel if they compared your ailing pet to an old gallon of milk? She might be an excellent veterinarian, but if you have less than four legs don't expect an ounce of empathy.

Sam is amazing! She’s been grooming my energetic dog for at least 18mo. She’s very nice about accommodating my crazy schedule.

I am very happy that I have found such a wonderful groomer for my little dog Molly!! Molly likes her grooming appointment, and she always looks perfect when she is done!!I highly recommend Sam the groomer at Hometown Veterinary Clinic because she is absolutely wonderful with Molly! I stay in the waiting room while Molly is being groomed, and I can hear Sam very gently talking to Molly as she grooms her. Molly is always happy when she arrives for her appointment, and when I take her home.

I'm still getting used to the fact that we had to have our dog put down. Rocky was a beloved dog even though he had health and other issues, and we had to face reality and do the humane thing. So we were given the name of the Hometown Vet Clinic, and with others helping us to coordinate, we had them come out to our house and take care of what had to be done. We were grateful to them for their efficient services, and the caring way Dr. Springman and Anne took care of the situation. They even delivered his ashes to us. Others that we had contact with were also very helpful, so it made a sad situation easier for us. Arlene Parr
