I had a favorable experience with Dave’s Garage. After purchase of a reasonably priced Prius, a minor issue came up 24 hours later. Dave was kind enough to give us a loaner for nearly one week and took care of the issue promptly. You will feel like you are dealing with an honest man when working with Dave.

Don't take your car here! They had my car for 2 weeks, charged me $547.00 and my car still wasn't fixed right! They do not know what they are doing. They also broke a motor mount, and damaged my upper control arms and sway bar links on both sides costing me additional money. These guys are clowns that have no business in the repair and automotive industry.

DO NOT take your vehicle to Dave’s Garage. The mechanics never show up on time, they leave oil residue inside and outside of the car. We took our VW beetle there to get an ESTIMATE on getting the speedometer fixed and ended up NOT getting an estimate and NOT having the speedometer fixed, but 5 other things “fixed” on the car. It took 2 weeks to get the car back. We would call every day at about 4:30 (they close at 5), hoping it would be done, and he would say they just started working on it an hour ago. They supposedly replaced the struts, axle, transmission plug, sensors, and more. They then wanted US to drive down to Abington IL to get a part from a junkyard when we already overpaid for what they did. They also told us it had a small oil leak, which we knew of. The day we brought it home, it leaked almost all of the oil out onto our driveway. They must have cut something. Before we took it to Dave’s Garage, it would leave about 2-3 drops of oil in our garage but not much and now it’s leaking all of it out. All of the parts they “installed” I could find on Rock Auto for a fraction of the price. Oh and.. it still runs rough after the struts were “replaced.”

Bought a car, so many problems with it. Called the attorney general and he lied about everything we had told them!

Price for labor on the replacement of the 1.6 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine was pretty reasonable considering some places we called wouldn't even attempt to put in a used engine, which is why I didn't make this review a 1 star!!However, it took 5 different trips that were not quick, get in and wait while they fix it trips, to Dave's garage to fix the air conditioner and keep it from leaking out the freon, after they replaced the engine in my husband's 2013 Ford Fusion. On multiple occasions we had to leave the car there for more than 1 day at a time because 2 of their mechanics had called in sick or they had an emergency (not sure if these 2 guys are related or not, but seems odd it happened twice!) On attempt #5 they were supposed to have a mechanic there at 9am on a Saturday and he hadn't shown up by 10:30am... They didn't work on our car until the afternoon so it again had to be left overnight when they knew we needed it back the same day. We ended up having to borrow a friend's car to get to church and didn't get the car back until 8:30pm on Sunday.Other than the 5 trips we took back and forth, the time and gas lost, the hassle of trying to get us both back and forth to work when the car wasn't ready the same day we left it there, and finding rides with friends and coworkers... we did not have to pay anything extra for the extra 10 days they had our car, or the time spent finding where the freon was leaking from (since it was their fault the freon kept leaking out) On attempt #4 they finally put dye in the car to find the leak, but didn't have time in the 2 days they had it that time to run it so they could fix the leak then instead of making trip #5 there to replace the O-ring that was leaking.I won't go into all the details, but suffice it to say that overall we would NOT recommend this repair shop to our friends. Very very very frustrating to say the least!
