I would never recommend this company. I took an antique mahogany dining set to them to be refinished. I paid a 50% deposit and after they had sanded everything down the owner asked for the full payment. She said she was having payroll issues and the money would really help. I was stupid and gave her the full payment. After that everything went wrong. The top of the mahogany dining table looked like it was painted matte black instead of stained. They kept telling me it was the wood and it wasn't the same and it would never look good. I just had to accept what they gave me but was upset that I had an ugly table after spending $3,000 to have it and the chairs restored.Someone suggested I take it to Phil at Lippman's to see what he could do. The picture below shows the solid black table I received from Carriage Shed, with the refinished beautiful mahogany leaf that Phil stripped down and applied clear stain. He refinished the entire tabletop for me and it looks amazing. When I called to complain to Carriage Shed the voice message said the business was closed. I am shocked to see that they are still open. Please don't ever do business with these people. It is not the company it once was.

I took in my great grandmothers old trunk to be restored. I was constantly having to call them to get updates. I wanted it done so I had to be patient. They had my truck for an entire year and I finally had it because it was one excuse after another. Finally he told me they couldn’t fix it. If they knew this why didn’t they tell me at the beginning. I told him I wanted my $400 deposit back which legally he would have to give it back to me because nothing was done on it. They told me they didn’t have it to give to me and I told them they were going to have to make payments and then that was like pulling teeth because I was constantly having to remind them. At one point I told them I would take them to court and I would’ve won the case against them. This company is extremely unprofessional and not forthcoming. Beware! Since then I’ve had my trunk fixed. Think twice before you take anything to them.

I took my Great grandmothers 130 year old steamer Trunk to have it redone. They had that trunk for over a year and I was the one that was constantly calling to find out what the problem was. They always had an excuse but I was going to be very patient because I really wanted it done. Finally after a year I had enough and the owner told me they just couldn't do it and gave me other excuses. I gave them a $400 deposit and I told him I wanted it back since they weren't going to do it. They told me they didn't have it but they would send me some money. Finally I set up a payment plan for them and they couldn't even stick to that. I finally had to tell them if they did not return my deposit I would be taking him to small claims court. At one point they wrote me out a $100 check and that check bounced and then I had to tell them I would only except bank checks. Every month I would have to call them and ask them for my money and finally they paid it off after almost a year. They have absolutely horrible customer service and people out there that want to take their antiques there you might want to think twice.

Paid in advance for a radio cabinet to be refinished. Instead of leaving one piece to match the color, they sanded down the entire piece. I give them another piece the same color, they took that piece apart and never completed the job nor did carrage shed refund my money.
