Charged my mother $459.00 for anti-seizure medication which of course she could not be without. DONT get your drugs here they will rip you off! We can get the same medication from anywhere else for $100.00.

I almost always get good service except for the last visit. Got an alert that my prescription was ready for pickup, but when I got there, it wasn't even filled. They told me to come back after 20 min. I only get a 30 minute break and I can't waste a minute waiting on a script that was supposed to already be ready. The people are always nice and helpful.

Parking is terrible for seniors. Walking down hill from garage and up to get to hospital. Best to let valet park at entrance.

Parking tip:Entrance through main hospital gate. Google map may misguide you to park behind the hospital. Parking near the main gate would be easy.

I was a true fan of Walgreens. They're a business that has struggled in the current economy and E-commerce world but this experience has really struck a chord with me. A prescription was called in first thing in the morning. The pharmacy canceled it without notifying anyone because they couldn't reach the prescribing doctor. 2 hours later when we called back, we told to talk to the nurse, as it's not their problem to explain it to us. The nurse called them back to get an update, then the doctor called in the prescription again. The issue? They did not have our information (name/DOB/etc) and insurance for payment, which is why they canceled the prescription instead of calling for the information since the patient was in the hospital. Then it took them another 1.5 hours to fill after promising to have it done in 20 minutes. They sent their delivery ladies, who took their time meandering the hallways, and another 1.5 hours later we finally received the prescription. The pharmacy manager, Amanda, had to go looking for the delivery ladies because they were not answering their phones/pages. Then, Amanda comes to our room and blames everyone on the floor staff instead of taking responsibility for the situation. She could have called us, she had our pone number, since we called first thing in the morning to get an ETA and left our information. Walgreens has really taken a downward turn, and the quality of work they do is subpar.

My wife had surgery at Lutheran General, her surgeon gave us a prescription for a C2 Narcotic which was filled at Walgreens location inside the hospital. When we got home, the strength of the medication was less than what the doctor had prescribed. I tried calling them right away but they had already closed and they do not open on the weekends. When I called today (Monday) to find out why the strength was less and why I was not notified when I picked up the medication, the pharmacist (Amanda) advised me that they had an on-going agreement with one of the doctors in the group to change the strength of the prescription when the original prescribed strength was not available. I asked if the doctor had written a new script since for a C2 narcotic they need to have it in writing and she advised that a new script was not required. She commented that they have been doing this for 4 months and I was the first to complain. I asked for her District Manager's contact information to escalate as this is ethically wrong, especially since they do not notify the patient. She only gave me his name (Paul Rattana) and advised me to contact 1-800-Walgreens to get his contact information. I called the toll free number and the lady I spoke to said they do not have the information for the DMs and that the best she could do is take my information and request a call back. I gave her my number and explained the situation. I will update this review once I hear back from the District Manager. In the meantime, I called the hospital and the nurse checked my wife's file, the doctor never wrote a new script and they were never notified of the change. If they have been doing this for 4 months potentially violating the requirements around narcotics, what else are they doing and getting away with?
