Shelter for run away teens. Must be a minor. Must NOT be a ward of the state.

I am a crisis worker and have had nothing but great experiences with the Harbour. They genuinely care about the people in their shelter.

It is a great place to stay but they get rid of good staff and keep the ones who doesnt care. They teach you how to do things on your own. Money management. They are friendly and caring. The sites would fight but thats what happens when youth. Very good staff overall. Would recommend. Great trips with this place. Was there for 4 years and left with learning alot from them.

Was given this when staying at this shelter last year, mind you I was following all expectations and had such a tight schedule that I missed meeting with my caseworker one time because she was sick and then she decided to give me this contract saying I wasn’t following expectations even though I was saving, even though I was working two jobs and was full-time in high school, and did all my chores and was the most respectful person there! Do not go here go other places this place is such a lie. They lied to me from the beginning, and I would not have gone there if I known they were lying. You guys will remember me as the most kindest person you tend to manipulate and verbally abuse and insult

I lived in a residential before moving in. They made me feel safe and welcomed. They taught me a lot of life skills like how to do my taxes, create a budget plan, how to apply for FAFSA and college, AND how to cope with health and emotional issues. There is always staff to talk to and without them, I don't think I would have made it this far. Sure I had issues with roommates, but staff helped mediate the situations. As long as I was open with them, there was nothing they couldnt help me with. There are multiple locations and a safe house for those who need a place to go if they are dealing with things like abuse. I miss my case manager, but we talk every once in a while.

Only willing to help if you do what they want. I had went back because my home environment was unsafe and I literally had no where else to go. After 21 days, they (Liz Werner to be exact) decided to kick me out even though I was looking for a job, and participating in their program. After begging asking I could stay, almost in tears, she still refused to keep me. She lied and said that she would call me on Tuesday to check up on me, but she never called. And now I’m back home with suicidal thoughts and no where else to go. If the Harbor ever reads this review, then they know exactly who I am.

Great agency that helps youth find stable housing and create long term goals. The staff are passionate and well educated. True full service agency!

To be honest, the harbour did a lot for me. They taught me how to save money, time management, and social skills. But then again they also taught me that you can’t trust anyone inside of the harbour.I also felt really unsafe because you never knew where you might go. You also had to rely on the other girls to do what they were supposed to do and if they didn’t do it then all plans change because they had poor planning. It was girl on girl action and when they moved me from one house to another I had to learn how to accept that. I got told without warning that I had to be moved and if I didn’t move then I would have to be forced by the police. This happened on numerous occasions to where I had to move from the different houses inside the program. The last incident is what made me not want to go back. I was staying a few nights at my friends house and I get a call from one of the girls in the house saying that my residential supervisor and my case manager was packing up all my stuff. I didn’t know exactly what was going on so when I talked to my case manager she had said that I was moving. Mind you to a house where I was already at and did not get along with any of the girls in the house. Why would they place me back at a house where they obviously knew I wouldn’t do well at and why would they put me back at that house? I don’t really know but all I know is that the harbour is a messed up place and they need to stop with their stupidness.

Terrible place. Overworked and underpaid. No support from management. Lack of communication/unorganized. Stressful. Lack of appreciation/ acknowledgement. Extremely high turnover rate.

Very unprofessional...There’s a lot of favoritism with the work members and communication SUCKS. I would give this place 0 stars but that’s not an option.
