I would not recommend this company. I used this company 2 years ago for annual turn on and adjust timer . The service man they sent out told me there was a leak in the basement. When I went down there with him, he assaulted me. I filed a plocie report and contacted them and they did nothing. Please be aware and be careful. I am only writing this to warn other women about the dangerous people they employ.

I have not written a 5 star review in some time, so here is why I am giving Greenleaf Sprinklers a 5 star rating:When we moved into our home, we found a Greenleaf Sprinkler label on our sprinkler control box in garage. As the spring was coming to an end, I called Greenleaf Sprinklers and they were able to schedule me over a week in advance because their regular customers had already scheduled turnoffs weeks before I contacted them; it was close to the beginning of winter. When Greenleaf came to the house, they knew exactly what they were doing and where the turnoffs were located. Then we were set for the winter months.I want to say around April of every year(I may be wrong about the month), I got an email from Greenleaf which gave me the option of what days they would be in my area and what times were available for sprinkler turn-ons.My first turn-on scheduling, I wanted to learn more about Greenleaf, so rather than schedule online, I called, scheduled and then learned the following:-We live in Glencoe and sprinkler systems' backflow needs to be inspected and documents submitted to the village in the spring yearly.-Greenleaf warned me that I would be getting mail from other plumbing companies stating that we need to get the backflow inspected and they were certified to do the inspection, and that I should not sign up with these other vendors because of 2 things: Greenleaf Sprinklers performs the same service at a nominal price and the other companies were charging way more than Greenleaf; seriously a lot more.-Greenleaf Sprinklers' repair rates are also super reasonable, whether it be a broken head or a bad backflow valve, Greenleaf is honest as heck and does not charge me an arm and a leg.-When we were contemplating running electricity to the driveway entrances for lighting, we learned that Greenleaf originally installed our system and after contacting Greenleaf and getting "no promises" Greenleaf found the initial plans and emailed them to me so we would not have a sprinkler disaster. This research service was performed at no charge.-Greenleaf also advised us that, whenever someone is digging on our property, ask them to tell me when they break something because its more of a nominal charge to get the , for example, head or piping replaced; but it would be a higher labor cost to track down the broken pipe or part.-On that note, recently (2023) we needed to install pavers on our property in some areas that sprinklers were in place. Greenleaf came to my property, removed the components that were going to be paved over AND recouped some other parts, I believe they call them switches. to save us money when they had to reconnect system.-Furthermore, on that note, the paver contractor was supposed to install some conduit below the pavers so Greenleaf could route new plumbing to the far area of our lawn. The paver did not do this, but Greenleaf still plowed forward and completed the job on time AT A REASONABLE PRICE!I see some of the reviews on this company which I consider unfair; and believe that those complainers were just frustrated because they contacted Greenleaf last minute during the turn-on season or tun-on season. Have witnessed what Greenleaf does to do turn-ons and offs and I can tell you first hand that it is far from the push of a button or flipping a switch. I get the complainers' frustration, but know that Greenleaf informs customers, in advance to schedule, before turn-on season and before turn-off season...I believe the majority of Greenleaf customers know this; and the system works. So, in summation, Greenleaf is my preferred vender in this area because they are:-Organized-Dependable-Honest-Very Affordable-Approachable when you are having other work done on your property that might affect your current sprinkler system.Thank You Greenleaf!Service: Irrigation system repair & maintenance

The owner didn't show up the first day at all, no call. Came late second day with crew laying all over my front yard for over an hour waiting for owner to finally arrive. Asked to work as late as 7:00 p.m. and I okayed. At 8:30 I chased the crew out of my yard...I had to get up early next day. Carlos has not taken care of 3 messes his team left behind: trenches all over yard inches deep, brick walkway/path uneven and must be relaid, and bib valve has tiny water flow through it. He will not return call or come fix his messes. Otherwise, the sprinklers he installed work. Yeah on that.!Service: Irrigation system repair & maintenance

After having been a customer for over 10years I am sad to say that we are parting ways with Greenleaf Sprinkler. 2 weeks ago I contacted the company and was told May16 was the soonest they could turn on my system. I asked if possibly Tony, the owner of the company, could call me and maybe work us in sooner. And if they could put us on a wait list if anybody cancels. In recent years they have gone to an on-line scheduling and I missed the email that told us that on-line was open. Tony never called. When I called today to see if anybody had cancelled she told me that a spot was available this Friday - now I wonder why she did not call me as I asked if I could be put on a wait list to get in sooner. The woman who does the scheduling was disrespectful and had very much and "I don't care about you" attitude. In years past we would receive phone calls to schedule and they were always accommodating. I guess they have become too big to care about their clients who have referred many and have been loyal. I did some research and found a 5 star service who will turn my system on tomorrow for the same price as Greenleaf charges. There are a lot of companies out there - read the reviews and if you are looking for a long term relationship with a company -stay away from Greenleaf.I just saw your response to my review. How terrible that you would lie about a 10 year customer! You never refused service you just have terrible customer service. Your invoices were always paid! If you did not want us as a customer you should have just told us you would not service us anymore due to payment issues - there was no reason for you to be disrespectful and string us along on scheduling. This all could have been worked out in a kind and friendly manner. I see you ratings are very low - you must do this to others as well. How sad!

I called and set an appointment for a sprinkler system repair, took a half day off work to meet them and no one showed up. No phone call either. Very disappointing.

This company put in my sprinkler system when I built my house 9 years ago and I still am so happy to be using them and their quality team. Tony & Paul have always come through for me and their people are exceptional.

Great people, service and reasonable costs. Quality counts in this business and while they are not the least expensive, they are careful and install quality systems. We've used them for 5 years and have always had excellent service.
