If I had a choice, I would give BMO Harris Bank 0 stars. They are FRAUD, They cannot be considered a bank; YOU TRUST A BANK AND YOU PUT YOUR MONEY IN THE BANK, BUT YOU CANNOT TRUST THIS INSTITUTION, they are thieves, they will steal your money. To all the people who see and read this review, do not open any accounts with this institution, don't even go close to them. The account you open will incur monthly fees, and the banker who opens an account will not inform you about hidden fees. The promotions they promise are all lies. I was deceived by one of their promotions, and I did not receive the promised benefits; on top of that, they charged me monthly fees. When I went to the branch, they told me it was my responsibility. I called the 1-888 number and spoke to a manager; they didn't even seem to care about my complaint. I am telling you, don't be deceived by their promotions. This was the worst bank I have ever seen.John

WARNINGMy mother has dementia. Bank allowed two people with her to change her account, twice. They knew she had dementia. The incident has been reversed by BMO downtown Chicago after months of fighting, and we still lost money.

I just needed to take out $100, get some singles and a roll of quarters. There was one teller taking customers and one was counting cash the whole time I was there. I waited in line for over a half hour while the Manager just sat there. I managed a bank for 10 years. I always had a cash drawer set up for myself in case of a line. BMO should make sure that their Managers do the same. This is the third time I've waited a half hour or longer to do a simple transaction. I'll be changing banks. Oh, when I got to the window I asked for $40 in singles. The teller obviously can't count to 40. She ran the singles through a cash counter 4 times. Each time it jammed. Can't you just count the cash?

Branch never answers the phone. Last week went in to withdraw cash, teller was texting on her cell. Today I went in to try and talk to someone. Completely ignored, I walked out. Will try another branch.

All 6 tellers are sitting at the window doing nothing and they come to the speaker to tell me they don’t open till 9 now. How stupied that BMO changed there hours from 8:30 to 9:00 but yet all the staff just sit there doing nothing!

Fraud! And Be careful before you do business here. I would very wary of the 5 Star Reviews, because I'm guessing these are paid reviews. First of all this branch is way understaffed and the customer service is lousy, it's like a 3rd world country service, not like service that I am used to getting at some of the other bigger banks. Wanted to close an account, and was told to pay $86.41 to close it. So I had my mom come in and pay that amount. The other Retail Relationship Banker charged my mom $126.60 and still wouldn't want to close. As the Bankers know that I am out of town and am unable to come to the branch myself. I would advise if you consider this branch, be very careful of not making the same mistake as me. I would never do business here again!

I've had such a wonderful experience here. I've worked with Gabby, a relationship banker, at the Park Ridge location twice and both times she has been fantastic. She is thorough, helpful and follows up. Each time she's helped me resolve what I came in for/called for quickly and efficiently.

Elfrida and the rest of the staff are great! They are friendly and took the time to explain how BMO operates and the details of each of my accounts that I opened. The following weekend Elfrida helped my son open his accounts and treated him just like she treated my wife and I - respectful, helpful and professional. So glad we found a friendly bank in the neighborhood at last.

very slow response. I opened the CD today and was handled by the person named Elfrida...she promised she will send my personal banking info but 2 hours waiting nothing happened. Called rep back but didnt pick up the phone....if i knew the service is going to be that sucks i wont make any service to this bank.....crazy

The service at this bank is agonizingly slow. Every time I come, it takes at least half an hour to make a simple withdrawal. The employees seem overwhelmed and act as if the customers are impatient rather than accepting and acting upon the fact that they're severely understaffed.

Can't talk to anyone on the phone. It says to press 0 to speak to a person, rings twice, than immediately starts the menu again. Absolutely ridiculous.
