“I have been doing business with Chicago Coin for over 10 years. Whether dealing with Glen, Bill, Melissa or Steve, I have always been treated with mutual respect. It bothers me in some reviews they are accused of being racist. Nothing is further from the truth.
I work at a coin shop that has done a lot of wholesale business with CCC. When I visit I am allowed to be buzzed in because I am a long time recognized client. The people in the store are the same regardless of race. They do most of their business on a wholesale basis, very little is done retail. They, like all coin dealers have a responsibility to their insurance company to abide with regulations in the insurance policy, so unknown people off the street are treated somewhat differently. Our store allows people to be buzzed in, but they are not allowed behind the counter.
I have seen people attended to at the window if they ask to see a certain item.
As far as not paying the client's perceived value for their items, these people know their business and make offers according to current market conditions, which change all the time. If a client is not satisfied with the amount offered they always have the option to decline and walk out the door.
This business has all the integrity when buying or selling, precious metals are run through the x-ray machine to insure authenticity. You cannot ask for any better.”
“shout out to stephanie who was very helpful on reaching out to me to make a extension for some shoes i had pawned about 1 month ago….even though i thought i had the shoes due to someone else calling me and telling me that i had lost the retro jordan 12s but apparently they were still there and all i had to do was make an extension.. stephanie was very helpful with the whole process please give her the recognition she deserves.. as for the other person that called me and told me they were no longer in store needs to be retrained. unfortunately i do not who that person’s name but it was a guy. “Great place. Under new management. Employees greet you as you walk in and ask a customer for any help. Its cash or card payment which is good. Layaway is a good option especially for the holidays. Make sure to test the items before purchasing and buying a warranty just in case, it's only dollars and save you alot of time later on.”

“Marc, Lindsay and Steve bring back old fashioned customer service! They all have a way of making you feel like you're the only customer that matters. After pawning two pieces, I had to come back to the east coast. I received better service long distance than you would get face to face in most businesses these days.
