Let’s start with the positive, taxes were completed in a weeks time. Feedback. New client here dropped off tax info was told I would get a call that same thurs /fri to discuss if I had everything and get to know my tax background. I called friday evening and was told they will go over monday on the phone. Well then I won’t be prepared. Sent and email friday night with additional info, was responded yo be one of the owners that I would get a call sat or sunday to discuss. That never happened. 8:00am get in a zoom call and she says “your taxes are done!” How is that even possible you haven’t even talked to me or verified I have given you everything . Then when I asked questions her response was “well you didn’t give it to us”. No kidding you never had a conversation with me before completing my taxes.
Poor customer service, completing taxes on a new client and you have no idea what their tax situation is seems a bit risky.
Do not recommend.
No you didn't do what you told me you were the girls in the office told me someone would review it and call me thursday or friday and your response to that was No one at the front desk tells us anything! Nice try! You guys are terrible and next time make s sure you have shoes on when the public comes in. Disgusting! Terrible response i can post the email if you would like! You never told me what I needed so that is a false statement you did my taxes with no conversation. Unacceptable. CHECK YOUR RECORDS I SENT THE EMAIL WITH INOF ON 3/8/24 liar!

Quick and pleasant service on my tax return. I dropped it off, they called to verify a few things, and it was ready about two weeks. Charges were less than my previous tax preparer.

I believe this is what they call misrepresentation! Shame on you! Email sent to us from a client of ours: About Christmas, a group of members of my family were asking me about an Accountant, as they all were needing an accounting firm because theirs retired or something. I suggested Bill and company there. Yesterday they all made an appointment and you did all of their families tax returns. Awesome!! Except they went to the wrong Mepham. Jim or John did their stuff. They asked for Bill, and said they were sent by Brett B....., as you guys do work for him. They brushed it off (knowingly the issue) but took care of them!!

Called to make an appointment and was told they are booked out, never had an issue with this before. Been a customer for years, told me they may be able to file an extension, when I stated let me see what I can do, she just hung up on me. Called them back to let them know how I felt, she just said to have a good day.To the response: I have waited for these dates in years past and there was never an issue...... I even called in August last year to talk to you about a business that I started, if we should go over that and was told that I could just wait until we file our normal taxes in 2022. You should probably start really looking at the reviews more carefully and evaluate what the tone of doing business with you are perceived as, cause just being an accounting service does not mean that you are good in business. Have their customer for 10 years.They have become as bad as bad can get . do not go to them they will ruin your taxes if you are lucky or get you audited .

Called on March 8th and set an appointment for 4/7/2021, called today because I never received confirmation. Spoke with the lady that sets the appointments she said I had no appointment and then started yelling at me and called me a jerk, I then was transferred to some lady answered she was just as rude she told me she backs her employees and condoned the other woman yelling at me and calling me a JERK. The supervisor also was yelling at me and then I asked for the owner and of course they would not let me talk to him. I have been going here for about 10 years they do not care about their customers anymore. The I got a call back and was told if I do not take my review down they will not do my taxes!!

I have been going for 5 yrs and they are prompt, courteous and take a real interest in doing your takes in the most profitable way possible they are fast and explain other things you need to be aware of.They are a family business and it is very relaxed. I would never consider going anywhere else.

Use them for 25 years nobody but nobody knows more about Illinois tax and law than John Mepham. John and his employees over there are some of the finest out there and offer year-round advice that I've never seen others offer

I love the personal attention to detail, they have gone beyond the call for my accounting purposes that are somewhat complex. I love them so much that I moved to Colorado and still use them to this day.
