I am a 77 year old retiree, and I have lived in Palatine, Ilinois for the past forty years. During that time, all of my home and auto insurance needs have been handled through an independent agency. A few weeks ago, I received in the mail my annual renewal from the insurer I have had for the past year. I was in disbelief when I saw that my annual home premium had increased almost 25%, while my auto premium had increased by almost 42%. What was more frustrating was that, in the past forty years, I haven't filed any claims with any of my insurance companies. Although my independent agent put together a few alternatives using other insurance companies, the premiums were still too high relative to my income. After talking to many of my friends, it was apparent that those with State Farm coverage were quite satisfied. Accordingly, I visited the Hugh Masterson State Farm Agency in Palatine. I met with Lisa, and after reviewing the renewal I had received from my current insurer, she was able to put together a State Farm quote with comparable coverage, but at a much lower premium. Lisa then guided me through the application process. I was quite impressed with Lisa's professionalism as well as her patience while answering my many questions. Thank you Lisa; you did a great job and saved me a lot of money. In summary, my initial experience with the Hugh Masterson State Farm Agency in Palatine, Illinois was very positive.
