Drove 6 hours from out of state based off what I was told over the phone for a possible deal on a new car, once I got to the dealership there was tons of hidden fees and charges added to the price on top of misleading information on the trade in value. Look elsewhere unless you want your time wasted. The Sales team was decent and friendly but the sales manager was a complete joke to work with.

This was a great car buying experience. I’d don’t feel any pressure to buy and Chris was my sales associate was very friendly and knowledgeable he wasn’t pushy. He was very patient with everything and it was a plus that he also spoke Spanish. I’m very happy with my Hyundai and the costumer treatment that we received thanks to Chris!

Chris our sales associate was great! He helped us do our car purchased a few days ago and I’m pleased to give him a 5 star! He’s was very friendly and patient throughout our transaction. He was not pushy like a lot of the sales agents in other dealers which was something that I really liked. Chris was respectful and helpful with all the requirement we were seeking. Also, the fact that he was fluent in Spanish was a plus!! I’m very happy with my Hyundai and the costumer treatment that we received thanks to Chris! He’s a very kind, and efficient young man!

I was going through a lot of different car’s dealerships and I can say that this place is by far the best customer service that I received. Angel was my agent and truly recommend him. He listens, works with you and goes above and beyond to ensure that you find what you need. Every time I return there I feel welcomed and appreciate their friendly vibe. Great experience every time!!

My experience with Palatine Hyundai is one that I want to make everyone aware of. Late July my wife and I went into order a new Tuscon hybrid and worked with Michelle. The beginning process was very easy and the dealer was accommodating. We received a call on August 31st that the car was in and we could come in a pick it up. We arrived around 6:45 pm and started the process of purchasing the car. My wife took the car on the test drive and upon returning we began to discuss pricing. Mind you we put in an order for the car and had a price that was consistent with the online building the car software. When were handed an invoice that included Lojack, their exterior and interior protection plan, and 3M plastic door covers. I stated that we ordered the car and we did not want any of the additional add-ons and was told that that was how the car was going to be sold. Michelle continued to fight with me on the additions but told us that she fought to remove the $5,000 market adjustment that the dealer had placed on their vehicles. After going back and forth, we were told that if we didn't agree they had a list of people they could give the car that we ordered too. Unfortunately, we needed the car and caved. After we finalized the pricing and were back with the finance manager signing everything one of the service managers walked in and told us that we couldn't take the car that evening because they had not done their "final inspection" on the vehicle, meaning they had not do all the stuff that they charged additionally for. We had been at the dealer for over 4 hours at this point and left. I received a call the following day that the car was ready for pick and when I arrived the car had over 100 miles more than the contract stated. I was given the excuse that they must have typed the mileage in wrong and it wasn't a big deal due to the fact that the mileage was over the stated total and not under. The following day I received a call from Mark Howard asking him to call me back. I waited a few days to respond as it was a long weekend. When I called Mark back, he had asked when I could bring the car back to get the dent fixed, he stated that Michelle told him about the dent and we were NEVER made aware of the dent during or purchase nor was the car put in position where we could see the entire vehicle in the light. I brought the car to get a dentless fix two weeks later on a Wednesday. I was called on Thursday with the news that the car would have to go into the body shop and have work done and be painted. Mark stated that "the car won't look as good as the first paint that Hyundai put on but they would still be willing to fix the dent." I was told I would have the car back in two days. It took over a week to get back and when I got it back there was an awful paint job and a pain drip had dried onto the car. They took the car back and had to fix their paint job. During this entire experience I was told that I would be getting a survey sent so I could share my thoughts and feelings. I asked who they sent the email too and I was told that it was my wife's, we constantly checked and checked and received nothing. When I reached out to Mark about it he told me the email address and they did not type it in correctly and there was nothing else they could do to get us the survey because they forgot one number in the email address. I finally got the car back and with the dent fixed two weeks after and I explained everything to Mark and my experience he went to go get the General Manager to discuss this with me. He was out that day and I was told he would call me the following day, Saturday 10/7. I got a text from Mark on Saturday that the GM was out still but he would for sure call me on Monday. I didn't hear anything on Monday or Tuesday, I reached out Wednesday and Mark said they were busy with meetings and he would call me that day. Did not hear anything Thursday or Friday. I reached back out to Mark and Mark told me that the GM called and left a message, I never got a call or message and

Hyundai of Palatine is the place to go for your new (or used) vehicle! Angel Gamez, my sales representative was wonderful, friendly, patient & he worked with me to find the perfect Santa Fe Limited! The entire staff was amazing, they followed up afterwards to make sure that I am happy. Thank you everyone at Hyundai Palatine, I look forward to seeing everyone when I return for my scheduled maintenance!

I don't recommend Palatine Hyundai. They advertise cars at one price then tell you they want $4000+ more when you get there. The car I purchased was listed at about $24,700. When I told them I was interested in buying it, they brought me a summary sheet showing that price plus taxes etcetera. I noticed that there were 2 items in that cost summary totaling around $4000. One was for Xzilion treatment listed at around $2500, the other for Lojack for about $1500. I told the salesman that I didn't want these add-ons and I felt I should be able to buy the car for the listed price. The manager came over and explained that these add-ons were a great value and they were already on the car and he couldn't take them off. When I said I couldn't pay that much for things I didn't want in the first place, the negotiating started. Basically he kept telling me "I've got to get something for these" and every time I said no he'd come back with a lower price for them. It was late, close to 10pm already, I wanted the car, so after an hour or so of dickering, eventually I agreed to pay $2200 for them. A few days later, after a little research I could see that I paid too much for these ad-ons I didn't want in the first place. In the sales process the salesman said Lojack was a great feature because so many Hyundais are being stolen. However I found out that didn't apply to my car since its push-button start. I asked them if I could return it and they said no. Also blue-link has car tracking features. They also told me my insurance company would give me a discount for having the Lojack, but State Farm said no they won't. They also told me the car was priced wrong and it would be going up $3000 the next day. The car did have low mileage, but I did research the market price for the car and there were several cars nationally within 5000 odometer miles of this car for $24,000-24,999. I don't think it's a fair practice to advertise a car for $24000 and when I want to actually buy it suddenly it's $28000. It feels like false advertising. Also when we were working out the financing they tried to sell me supplemental insurances starting at $118 a month! I said I don't want this insurance, and the manager again started negotiating down the price every time I said no. He went all the way down to $5 a month for one insurance. I said no and he relented. Unfortunately these practices are standard at a lot of dealers, but not all. At the end of the day I agreed to the deal so yeah its on me, but I'm just not happy with my experience at this dealer. They can say what a great deal they gave me but I disagree and won't be going back in the future. Hopefully my experience will help you get a deal you're happy with on your car. If you do business with them, just walk out when they ask you to pay more than the advertised price.

David and Mari did an outstanding job working with me to purchase my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. Most of the details and pricing were worked out online and via text. When I showed up with the title and both sets of keys, it took at most 15 minutes to complete all the paperwork and do the transaction. They were straightforward and honest, some thing I’m not a custom to with most dealers. Very happy to recommend.

When it comes to customer services I do not feel appreciated at all. From coming in and not being greeted to being told one thing then given a run around for 3 days. I’ve been to dealers where when I pull up a service advisor is walking outside to greet you, here they sit at the desk and wait for you to walk in. I was told I can come in on a certain day to get quick part installed when it arrived and when I called, no one answers the phone and when someone does which I’m guessing an operator, all they say is Hello which makes it’s confusing if I’m calling the business or not. I left a message never received a call back and when I told the operator a name they told me the advisor was off, when I called back the advisor I was looking for answers. And now taking time out of a busy schedule, I have to squeeze them in because I needed this work done the day that I came in. No one apologize for their mistakes or read the signs that the customer is not happy with their service given. Being that I was given recommendations for my car, I will not be returning back to have them done.

This had to be by the far best car buying experience I have ever had. I had been purchasing vehicles for the last 15 years from a certain German brand dealership. Never did I ever think, I would purchase a Korean car. Well I did. I would really like say Travell Grimes made me feel very comfortable. I was at another Hyundai dealership this morning but the vehicle I wanted was not in inventory and the sale person was not very knowledgeable, and did not know much about EV's. So we went to Hyundai of Palatine and the had so many vehicles in stock, and they had the one I wanted. Soon as we arrived Travell Greated us with a wave and a smile He made the buying experience simple with no pressure. Unlike the other dealership he was much more knowledgeable and uber friendly guy 10 out 10. If you go to Hyundai of Palatine deal with thus guy trust me. The other staff from the customer relations Mgr and the finance guy Mark and Mike made the normal paperwork stress painless. Once the vehicles is purchased they give you the celebrity treatment.

It started off horrible I was looking for a 2023 Tucson. With a high 700’s credit score without running credit asking for a $500 payment was asking for too much. First sales manager came and said “ you need $29,000 down to get a $500 a month car payment” Of course, I got up and left. As I was walking to the car the salesman David asked me to turn around. I found another Tucson that was a 2022 with low mileage. He asked for another chance. I told him don’t bring that sales manager back to talk to me because I will write a bad review. I never heard of any dealership asking for a $29k down payment EVER. They bought another sales managed out who was more pleasant and had realistic numbers this time. I fell in love with this SUV. David the salesman was wonderful. The Hispanic sales manager was horrible and a jerk. The one that stepped up was more pleasant. It took 6 hours to get it done. Our needs were finally met. It shouldn’t have taken me to walk out to work with me. I’m very familiar with sales tactics. Bit and switch, shield and drop etc. David the salesmen was wonderful. He was the reason I walked back into the dealer. The finance man who had us sign each piece of paper was very knowledgeable. If they would use a different sales tactic and show some honesty the process would of been more easy. This is the only reasons why they got 4 stars because I have to be honest with my feedback. After the drama that could of been avoided I walked away with what I wanted. This was actually a business car we purchased for the law firm. It’s a lot get a business loan. The job got done. I was very satisfied with David. I was satisfied with the second sales manager. As long as you got 6 hours to spend, you stand your ground, and wing out the stupid tactics you could walk away with what you want.

I went into the Leader Group Hyundai dealership in Palatine based on advertised prices. Then at the dealership I was told that two to three pretty worthless "packages" (really more pure markup) priced at $4300 to $4600+ were mandatorily added to every Leader Group car sold in addition to a $5000 market adjustment on most models. Of course NONE of this was in their obviously false advertising. So for a $31,000 MSRP sedan they were asking $41,000 once you walked into the stealership. A rational shopper will find this simply absurd and fully unethical.I walked out in five minutes. I advise you to not bother even9 walking in unless you are willing to pay $10,000 over sticker on a basic sedan. It is a shame that a remodeling of the building did.not result in the embracing of better ethics.EDIT. MY RESPONSE TO YOUR GENERIC, WEAK RESPONSE TO ME TO REACH OUT TO "CUSTOMER CARE" (NOT AN ACTUAL ACCOUNTABLE PERSON WITH REAL CONTACT INFO) FOLLOWS: "Digital T"? How comical. A nameless powerless PR junior management drone cranking out soulless meaningless pablum. Leadet Group wants to be ethical? It is so very simple. No conversation needed. List real prices on your website. List mandatory packages with little value that run up to $4600 are required. List that you are adding $5000 market adjustments to most new cars. What you are doing is fully unethical. And it can be fixed overnight by your dealership if you made the conscience decision to act ethically and treat human beings with respect. PERIOD.DO NOT SPRING THESE ABSURD CHARGES ON CUSTOMERS AFTER THEY ARE IN THE DOOR! That's unethical and it is disrespect. How exactly is springing these fee on consumers ethical?
