I’m not sure I could have had a worse experience buying a car. I drove 2.5 hours to look at the car only to find out it wasn’t actually ready. Waited 2 weeks to get the car and it still wasn’t fixed. They claimed parts were changed that weren’t. Oh, and I still can’t register it because they haven’t sent me all the paperwork after multiple request. I have been lied to by the salesman and 2 managers. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. BEWARE!!!!

Buying a car with them was the worst experience I’ve ever had. 1st they refused any kind of credit union check. 2nd when they helped with car insurance they filled out all the information for me to help me get a “lower” rate, and a week later progressive ended up calling me to do a interview about some of the questions they answered for me, which they lied about, and when I answered them correctly my insurance almost doubled. 3rd and the worst part of my experience is Robert the finance guy, who gave me 50 dollars and told me to buy dinner for myself on him that he took out of the cash I gave him for a down payment. He also told me if I ever needed help paying my monthly payment to call him and he would help me and to think of him as a “sugar daddy”, as I’m crying because this was the first time I was buying a car by myself and my car broke down unexpectedly, so it was a rough couple days for me. He said he likes to take care of girls like me. Now it’s almost 2 years down the road and people for the dealership are hassling me to refinance or get into a new car at a better rate, so I decide to do it. They ding my credit multiple times, no one calls me back, or has a straight answer for me, and it’s been 5 days no call back. I would stay far far away from this place.

Finance Manager Ben and Sales Associate Juan at Palatine Chevrolet were excellent to work with. Ben suggested I take the Jeep home for the weekend, which I did. He knew what he was doing because I ended up buying the thing. They were persistent without being pushy and were knowledgeable about the pre-owned Jeep I was purchasing for my son. They were very accommodating. The Jeep was missing the small tool set, and Juan ordered a replacement tool set for us. I was looking for a specific Mopar warranty, and Ben followed up and found it for me at their sister store in Crystal Lake. They had the Jeep washed and ready for pickup. I would definitely buy another vehicle from them in the future. Thank you!

When purchasing a vehicle through Chevrolet of Palatine, I was presented with an itemized list with a grand total price that I agreed to. Once I received the first bill from my loan I discovered in the paperwork that the purchase included a vehicle warranty for an additional $5,125.00 that I was not asked if I would like to purchase. They slipped in the most expensive vehicle warranty into the paperwork which I have been trying to get refunded for months now, to no avail.
