The Ottawa store is my number one go to store for all building materials and construction needs. Their professionalism and service is critical to my business needs on a yearly basis.

Fast, friendly service. I was able to park my semi in the lot for some lumber. They were nice enough to load the lumber on a forklift and take it to my trailer. Top notch

I've never been to a place we're you pay for wood in side one building then go to a different side of the building to get wood. I never buy with out picking what I want first. But they wanted me to pay before picking what I wanted. I'm not from Illinois, I'm from the west coast. I pick out what I want before I pay for anything. I never buy with out seeing first. This place will never get my business.

Would love to see them have regular weekend hours. Not sure what the thinking is but most people do their projects on the weekend and I struggle to see the sense of closing so your only choice is to drive out of town for the extras that always pop up mid project. Otherwise I would recommend RP as a good local choice.

A former employee who worked at the Ottawa store and the Dekalb store treated very badly by my coworkers and management there all the time. Three former employees who had disability there. One was Andrew who was deaf and couldn’t hear another was Jake who has a learning disability other one was Adam. This employer knew these three workers had a disabilities too. Why the public needs to stop supporting a company who treats disability people very badly there. We as disability people have every right to work in the real world too.

They mistreat disability people there all the time. They never once gave these three disability people the right training to do their jobs there. When these disability people were complaining about being harassed and bullied in the workplace there the management and there Corp greed H/R office did nothing about the matter what so ever. How's disability people to fix safety concerns and shown the right way how to do something when never shown that at work there. Just write people up never show them right way to do something. These people were never given a final warning of anything there. And they refused to work with a state agency called DORS who works with employers with disability people in the workplace. They knew these people needed to shown the right way to do something but they didn't care. Why this is a very bad employer and I will tell everyone who has a disability person in there family not to shop at RP lumber. All I'm trying to do is let the public know that these people weren't shown the right way to do things on the job there. What they do wrongly fired him yesterday for safety concerns that they were having with him and they also let him go for a workers comp injury that happen on Tuesday November 12th too. No employer can get rid of a worker once they report a injury at work. That is grounds for a wrongful termination lawsuit and a workers comp lawsuit too. These disability people needed special treatment and training to do there job there and they never got that training what so ever. Just throw people into the lumberyard and they are to know how do things the right way. Wrong in my b
