Was the only option available when I moved, and ever since I've had problems. It constantly goes out, they don't watch when they are working on other people's internet and pinch the cable in the case, then take days to come out and fix it. They make it seem like your the problem when something goes wrong. Their prices keep going up year after year. I won't ever use them again unless I absolutely have to.

Been doing ok really no complaints except for now.Service has been off over 24 hrs.Only get recordings they(techs)are trying to get it fixed and how to pay my bill geez should credits be dished out

I thought Comcast was bad......mediacom is worse. They made changes to my account without authorization which resulted in a $505 bill. When I find out and call, I have talked to 3 different people over 2 days and get 3 completely different stories. I get home today from work and no service. I will be looking elsewhere. I don't have many choices where I live but I will find something. Absolutely horrible customer service.they obviously don't care about loosing customers. Their rating says it all.

This is by far literally the worst internet on Earth the Wi-Fi cuts on and off at random moments and the whole internet is just slow and it’s really sad that it’s no Xfinity out here it’s so sad

Review based on Mediacom Internet only - A long time provider in Ottawa but realistically the only one. Sadly not a reliable internet service. Cut too many corners and too much cost cutting has caused way to many outages during peak hours (the only time your honestly going to use the service & when you actually need it). Will more than likely lose to competition such as Comcast once they enter the regional market.

I just got my newest bill and the price has increased by over 50%. I called to talk to someone to see what kind of options I have and after talking to 5 different people I was told I have no options. They are screwing us with inflation. Its very sad. I have been a customer for a long time and now I have to find a new provider if I can.

I actually give it 0 stars. I was disconnected two weeks prior to my moving/disconnection date. I've been on the phone for over 90 minutes trying to get reconnected. First they tried to tell me there would be a reconnection fee. Now they are trying to tell me I will be reconnected sometime tomorrow between 8am and Noon. I work from home. This is totally ridiculous. I had an issue with them last year when trying to help my mother with her internet. I have now just been told there is nothing they can do. They will need to send out someone tomorrow and that is the best they can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor, after being put on hold again for an extended period I was told the supervisor is not available, they would document and have the supervisor call me when available. I requested that it be tonight. They said of course. We will see. I have never written a review before. This is a company to stay FAR FAR AWAY FROM. WORST EVER!

Mediacom treats their customers badly and gets away with it because there isn't really any competition. I am paying way too much for more data and speed than I need, because the next lower package they offer is the most basic package with hardly any data or speed. I had the in-between package, which was perfect, but they got rid of it and "upgraded" everyone to the more expensive one.Additionally, outages are not uncommon in my area, particularly in the evening when people are most likely to be using the internet. The outages can last several hours with no explanation or accurate estimate of when they will be fixed.

I switched to mediacom in hopes of having faster speed internet in a rural area, but there are outages daily lasting from 30 minutes to multiple hours. Current outage has been out over 48 hours. The soonest a technician can come out to assess the problem is next week, 6 days after call that internet was out. This service is too costly for the inconsistent it is.

The customer service is good but the actual internet and wifi are horrible. I have to reset my system multiple times daily.
