We moved from California to Illinois from a tiny 2 bedroom apartment to a 5 bed room, 2 story house and came across Jan at a great time because my s/o and I had this vision that we wanted our dining room and front living room area to be gorgeous, and be complimenting eachother when being looked at because this space does not get used as much. But, we walk by it all the time. When we tried to do it ourselves we found it to be rather difficult finding something that suited our vision and Jan nailed it! The space that Jan worked on is absolutely beautiful and we could not be any happier. It's stunning, inviting, and it included our wants and needs. I want to add this furniture is very high quality and every piece she found we kept because it went together so well! It overall did take awhile to get all our pieces because of the pandemic, but at the end it was worth it! Also, for those who are confused about how the cost works like I was there's a no cost consultation, no cost in picking what "type of style" you want for your space, and after Jan uses her expertise to compile something together there is a small fee that goes towards the cost of everything to know you're serious about using her services, and after that you only pay a down payment on furniture you pick out and then the rest of the cost when the furniture is in your home. Overall, very very happy working with Jan she is a professional and it shows.

From the minute Dawn entered our kitchen, you could see the thoughts already coming to her mind on improvements we could make. She listened to our wants and needs, and came back with a beautiful design. Dawn was very patient as we kept adding to the design as we better understood her vision and appreciated her suggestions. We never felt pressured or rushed in our decision making. Now that we have all the choices made, products ordered and are moving forward, we are very excited to see the completed project!

From the time we started this huge project to revamp my parents house to bring them home from a nursing home, Jan was with us every step of the way. We needed to be mindful of the fact that my parents are 93 with limited mobility and Jan did research to figure out our best options. Everything is absolutely beautiful and my parents love the new look to their 100 year old house! Thanks so much!

I have known Jan now for years and years. She helped me with my whole house. Furniture and ideas, Carpeting throughout, Paint colors, painter, wall murals, helping with design ideas. And all my window treatments. Plus the window treatment ideas and options. She has great ideas and wonderful color ideas. She really helps my house be a home. If I have more projects then Jan is the one I call first. Very professional and easy to work with. My husband and I work full time all the time and Jan has helped us when we were too busy to be home. I love my home and my colors and Jan's ideas and help.

I have worked with Jan several times over the past few years and always find her great to work with. I especially appreciate her eye for color and color combinations. She ensures things get done on time and within budget. We transformed my old and ugly 1984 honey oak kitchen to a clean, beautiful, new modern farmhouse kitchen that is worthy of a place in any home or decorating magazine. Plus this was done WITHOUT the mess and expense of the room being gutted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL USE AGAIN. Thanks Jan!

We had a super experience with Jan and her team. From the time we started to gut out my parents house to bring them home from a nursing home, Jan was with us figuring out the best options for them. Was really looking forward to working with Jan and her team. Highly disappointed after lack of communication. Jan had come out to see our space and discuss our budget. Following that, she came out with the contractor to get his quote for the space. This was over a month ago. I reached out multiple times in attempt to get the quote. I was told the contractor was in a car accident (with pictures as proof) and advised that she would have to quote in a few days. We were extremely understanding. I had told her that we did not have availability to meet on the evening she requested, but gave options to meet later in the week or to discuss the quote over the phone. Needless to say, I still have not heard from her. It’s been 3 weeks. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I cannot say enough how happy I was to find Cindy Hudetz at Decorating Den! From the moment she entered my home I knew I made the right decision. I needed help finding the right colors, fabric, and accessories for my home and Cindy had it all. The choices she brought were spot on as well as affordable. The entire process was a pleasure. From window treatments to carpets she had it all.

Would definitely not recommend! I hired this company and paid them a 200.00 deposit with a set date to be finished by. The designer never followed through after her visit and nothing was ever done to actually start my project. I received nothing for my deposit. As the party date approached and they were unresponsive I realized I could not count on them to help so I had to go in a different direction completely on my own to get work done. Once my date came and went I called the owner to explain the situatuon. The owner actually blamed me for not being more forceful in making them do their job. I could not believe she was actually blaming me for their lack of effort and professionalism. I asked for my deposit back since nothing was done and she refused. After much arguing she agreed to pay half back. Months later I still have NOT received even the half. I own a buisness...I would never treat a customer like I was treated. Mistakes might happen.. but not refunding once a mistake happens shows horrible buisness practice. I learned a lesson..never give a check for a deposit. Once cashed they are gone.
