I have only gone here for mammography and related imaging. The place is beautiful and clean. The staff and docs are very kind. The waiting room is always empty. Maybe a person or 2. That said, I still always wait about an hour. I have no idea what that’s about, and nobody comes out into the empty waiting room the whole hour, so we patients start wondering what exactly is going on. It’s a bit odd. The ultrasound I get is 10 mins, the wait is 1 hour. This is really my only complaint. But it is consistently my experience and Annoying enough that I will consider getting my imaging elsewhere.

University of Chicago needs to learn from Silver Cross. Silver Cross talks to patients tells them what is going on. They don't leave patients hanging. Nurse practitioners need to just be retrained Horrible the way they talk to patients. Seriously go learn from Silver Cross might learn a thing or 2

4th floor young girl checking in patients was rude. She needs training on how to greet people and how to PROFESSIONALLY speak to the public, very rude. Marissa the technician was very pleasant throughout the entire visit.

So 1 is a very high grade here especially when you are dealing with the manger Jacky and when she wants to control you and tell you the university of Chicago is aware that people don’t have privacy and you have to take it
It is the university of Chicago culture apparently.
And it is ok that part of your body is showing and it is ok

DO NOT go here if you can avoid it and DO NOT schedule your own appointment online even though they give you that option. I had an appointment scheduled online with the confirmation, only to be turned away and told they could not find me in their system. They said sometimes online appointments do not get scheduled…um then why is it an option and how is that my fault when I show a confirmation??? They would not even try to accommodate me in at anytime for the day even though it clearly was a system error on their end.

This office is terrible! Please seek medical attention elsewhere. I am from Houston and we have great hospitals. My mom’s condition has only gotten worse with her care at UIC in Orland Park. They were also extremely rude. 4th floor lab drop office on June 19,2024. Rude and ignorant when my Mom can barely walk. My mom went from walking several miles a day to no longer being able to walk with a cane only short distances. I myself am a stage IV cancer patient and do know how to advocate for better care. This facility and whoever was at the first window was extremely rude! I would never recommend this facility to anyone. If you want to be seen at UIC I would strongly advise going into the city. My hospital has several satellite campuses as well. They but their what I refer to as team B docs at these types of campuses. Please be an advocate for your own health. My mom’s condition has only gotten worse. I am in contact with Mayo on her behalf and they do not agree with the treatment she is getting at this facility at all. UIC do better. Patients deserve better. You work for them. That’s right! Patients pay your salaries and do have a say in their care. Please please go elsewhere.

I checked in on April 20 high hopes to complete my 6 month check up for the kidney donation surgery. It was such a quick and fast ? process. She was very gentle I was able to give my blood no problem. I didn’t realize I had to take a urine test until I got there however she kindly offered me a fresh cold water bottle to help me with the testing process.
Thank goodness. ? Luckily I was able to use the washroom once again no problem. Overall the experience was fast and painless.
Once again the staff here were all super friendly, kind, and care about their patients needs. I can’t thank them enough for their passion in what they do and appreciate their efforts in helping people get well ❤️ .

Do not go here for spinal stenosis surgery. Surgeons here use antiquated sugical techniques. Do your homework. Research ultrasonic surgery techniques, I did and I am very pleased with the results. There is no need for a laminectomy anymore, which is 60/40 that it works and creates other future needed back surgeries. Ultrasonic surgery shows 95% positive results that it works and it worked on me. I found a surgeon in Florida that pioneered the technique and has been doing it for over 10 years. Prior to my surgery I saw two surgeons in the chicago area, MidAmerica and UC, both acted like they never heard of the technology. Laminectomies are thing of the past but a good revenue stream for hospitals. Why change your business model when you make good money off of something that people are ignorant about. Do you homework!!!

Have 0800 appt. Have the MyChart app on my phone. Used echeckin upon arrival. In the lobby security is asking people to use the kiosk to check in because there is no staff. What! Completed the requested info on the kiosk. The kiosk ate my insurance card and I had to dig it out. Never had this type of experience with UChicago. I changed to this facility because it is much closer to home. I’m beginning to wonder if they are ready for prime time? There are at least 5 people waiting. I’m not sure anyone even knows I’m here. What’s going on?

All of the doctors, specialists, nurses and technicians have been very caring and professional. If I need to contact them by phone, I can always count on a prompt response to my issue. Highly recommend.
