I was just at this location today. The produce floor was a mess and several employees were just standing around having a conversation. No one was thinking about picking up a broom. Very much a tripping hazard. I was cut off a number of times by employees while I was walking. I walk with a cane, which I had in the bottom of my cart. I find a good number of people who shop here are rude as well. One young man walking towards me at the end of an aisle. There wasn't enough room for both of us to go through (displays placed by the store in horrible locations throughout the store) and he decided to plow past me because he was obviously in a hurry and lacked common courtesy While yelling "move!" I could have been knocked over. Another young woman with a baby buggy was just standing well before the belt to load her groceries with no one in front of her with her phone texting and when I asked if she was in line she turned nasty and said "clearly I'm in line." But she wasn't moving, only texting. There was no one in front of her. I only asked a simple question. Sheesh. I've also been cut off in the parking lot A number of times. Where do these rude people come from. I guess I'll have to shop here right when the store opens because life is too short to deal with nasty.

first of all. terry is a grade a disgrace. he's rude and disrespectful to his staff and I've personally seen him threaten bodily harm on his employee couple weeks ago. I worked there for about a month because it's right next to my house so it's convenient and I hustled and put my all into it. while I worked there management would talk about me behind my back I would hear about it from coworkers. they would make up hurtful names for me and other stuff. my work was never appreciated lol. nobody's is there. they had me do the dirtiest jobs you could imagine and I never complained. I got injured because of poor property upkeep about a month into the job. and then i was basically threatened into quitting by management. I've been going there every day since to buy food and baby formula. this morning I walked in to buy some food and a minute after I walk in terry yells my name as loud as he can from a few feet away. it scared me. he told me I was not allowed on the premises. when I asked him why he told me it's because he has video proof of me vandalizing the store. which I did not do loll. i left the store disgusted. there is not another grocery store for miles and I do not drive right now so this is a real problem. I can't eat fast food because of my health problems. i will be taking all of this up with the bbb. I'm not sure how my son will eat now.

I trusted a jewel pickup and I was billed three miscellaneous extra charges that made absolutely no sense so I called customer service they completely blew me off and told me there's nothing they can do thanks Jewel you literally just stole my money

Jewel-Osco I really like this store. Why? Good customer service. Always quick to let you know they will help you as soon as possible, which for me is a big deal. They seem to be fully stocked, they are busy but not crowded. Relaxing, spacious, well organized and easy to find things. The price is really reasonable. it's pretty standard. It has most everything you'd expect to find at one. ALWAYS clean and I am especially impressed with their butcher department. Always having time to help their customers. The produce department seems to have fresh chicken. And wide selection of fresh vegetables. one of the best grocery stores I've ever used.

If you can't have your shelves stocked at 7:00 am on a Saturday, with most employees just standing talking, you don't deserve my business. The store was a mess, pallets blocking aisle, carts full of products sitting from torn down displays everywhere

Shop here if you want to get covid!! This morning, during the worst peak in cases so far, 90 percent of the employees were either not wearing a mask or had it pulled down. Cashiers however had masks on. When I went to check out, one of the employees was in line without a mask and the customer behind him had her mask off as well. I also encountered 3 other customers with no masks. So rather than get in line with the Covid spreaders I decided to use self check out. Nearly every item caused an error. And this was at 7:00 in the morning. I will no longer shop at this store. Not only is it unsafe but their prices are ridiculous and their produce is disgusting. I have seen rotting produce more times than I can say. If I could give the store negative stars I would but unfortunately I can't post my review without entering at least one star. Enter the 159th street Jewel at your own risk!

The entire store was immaculate and well organized. size liquor department. The employee at the self checkout was attentive and helpful. All staff seemed to be wearing their masks properly which was nice to see.I normally avoid Jewel because of the Homewood Jewel on Halsted but this Jewel was a much nicer experience(This was based on my experience a couple weeks ago at this location)

Nothing wrong with this location, just was very dirty. Germs... yuck. Who is responsible for cleaning these things? Left and watched on demand instead...
