Dr. Norton was extremely helpful when we visited him for a consultation. He took his time with our dog and throughly explained and answered each of questions. His expertise was very apparent. The office staff is also great, super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be switching to Dr. Norton.

Following a series of emergency visits and surgery to address a significant tumor, my dog Bruiser has fully recovered and reverted to his usual self. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment. The costs here are remarkably reasonable, especially when compared to other vets within a 25-mile radius. Despite relocating from Tinley Park, I am committed to traveling the extra miles for the exceptional care and consideration provided by the technicians and veterinarians here.

Misdiagnosed my cat even with a sample of urine in blood. A lot of blood in the urine. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that he had an infection.Don’t waste your time here or money. Sometimes cheaper isn’t better.Dr kept rambling about how it was from stress and I needed to change his diet. My cat keeps peeing so much blood and is in pain. Took him to a different place and gave him antibiotics asap.

We took our new adopted chihuahua for his first wellness visit. He saw Dr. Norton, I told Dr. Norton he has kennel cough and was on an antibiotic. He said he was not concerned about the kennel cough and gave him a cocktail vaccine which he ended up in the emergency room the next day. The hospital said he should have never been given any vaccine with kennel cough. This is bad decision making and I am angry and disappointed. Due to this poor decision My dog is sick, not walking having difficulty going to the bathroom and we are stuck with an emergency room bill that should have never happened.

My cat had an irritated eye and it costs my $150 to fix which is ridiculous, my pink eye didn’t even cost that much to fix. Then, to make matters worse, my cat came home with fleas which she got from the vet because I take every precaution to make sure I don’t have fleas before I enter my home and they don’t go outside. She was fine before going and when she came back…fleas. I handled the flea problem before it could become an infestation but now I’m worried that I’ll have to treat both of them for roundworm or another parasite. The doctor and vet tech were both nice but I will not be bringing my cats back to the vet.

I do not know anyone who enjoys taking a beloved pet to a veterinary clinic even if it is only for an annual exam and shots. In fact, I will go one step further . . . I am not acquainted with any animal who looks forward to visiting the vet, (including our own tiny Maltese, Taji). That being said, we were referred to Prairie State by a friend and we feel unbelievably fortunate.Firstly, the front office staff is extraordinarily helpful, very personable and exceptionally kind. Samantha and Paula are allowed to have their dogs at the facility, and we had the opportunity to meet these sweet animals personally! How cool is that? These two women are extremely knowledgeable and efficient as well. In fact, they are so competent and caring that they assist Dr. Tassone, the Medical Director, too, together with Victoria Jakresky and Cheyenne Aaron, both of whom are also vet assistants. As we walked our 6-pound Maltese, Taji, down the hall to meet everyone . . . (drumroll, please) . . . Victoria and Cheyenne met us at the examination room door and took Taji. Taji seemed very comfortable with them and they, of course, fell in love with Taji. Who wouldn't? Dr. Tassone walked in shortly thereafter, right on schedule. She is sensational to say the very least! Not only is she an excellent vet and very bright, but she is also a charming person. All of us had so much fun -- I couldn't believe it. Dr. Tassone has a wonderful sense of humor and answered our 1 million questions, demonstrating tremendous patience and skill throughout the entire visit. Don't think we didn't inundate Victoria and Cheyenne with questions as well and man, did their experience show! They answered each and every inquiry with extraordinary expertise.Taji has definitely found her second home and we are forever indebted to our friend for referring us to this outstanding clinic. We feel confident that our little girl is receiving the best care available in our area, and we are so grateful to the staff for taking great care of her. Kudos to all of you for your outstanding service and kindness! It shall be our pleasure to recommend your group to our many friends and business colleagues who have pets. Applause! Applause!

This is hands down the BEST vet clinic I have ever been to. The vets and staff give my pets the best medical care. Dr. Tassone is so compassionate and caring. We have 2 cats and when one of them passed away, Prairie State sent us a sweet card. When I brought our surviving cat in for a physical, they were so amazing and took their time addressing all of my cat’s needs. They truly 100% care about the well-being of our furry loved ones. I appreciate everyone at Prairie State. Thank you for your compassion.

Not the one to post reviews, but this place is full of clowns. Cannot believe the care they provided for my new puppy lol. Strongly do not recommend taking your dogs here. Doctor Norton was very confused every visit on what shots my puppy needed and refused to acknowledge her ear infections. Makes me very sad :( please please do not take your puppy here!!

Absolutely horrible! I watched them deny a woman with her dog that clearly had a broken leg with my own eyes. I was furious and had to leave with my animal before I did something I'd regret. Rude staff. DO NOT bring your animal to these people.

I saw Dr. Norton today for the first time and was very unhappy upon leaving. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. We saw Dr. Fleming previously and he was wonderful so I was hoping the other vets would be as well. My dog is 15 and I was looking for an overall assessment of her health and how to move forward. She is deaf, blind, has trouble getting around and is arthritic. He made me feel terrible for the condition of her teeth. He suggested I put her under and remove them all. When I said I didn't want to do that he asked me to wait a minute and then came back with pliers saying he could remove it with those. Thank God for the vet tech who was kind and encouraging when I chose not to. In the end when I asked him about moving forward and what would happen if we chose to put her down, he was quick to explain without any compassion. He did not even offer a Kleenex as I was clearly upset and tearing up. I went in hoping for some support and expert advice about my elderly dog and left feeling belittled and confused. I will not return to see him and will spend the last part of my dog's life finding a new more compassionate and caring veterinarian.

Unbelievable care. Had gone to a different vet when I moved and they gave me a dramatic surgical opinion on my dog. Took my pet back to Dr. Tassone for a second opinion and not only was it different and more conservative but she is so friendly and caring towards your pet. She is always so calm, caring and Knowledgeable.Surgery and biopsy went well. Dr and staff called and checked in multiple times. Had very successful and timely follow up surgical visits.
