Have only had positive experiences here. Been a customer since 1995. Can get pretty busy in warmer months the so maybe save some repairs for wintertime to avoid long turnaround times. I wish they still sold ELFS Redlines Powerlites Robinsons and PK RIPPERS tho...

Extremely overpriced, no room to move around store, and bad customer service.

Brought my bike in for a full tune up. Kid working there described the work they would do on the bike as part of the tune up. I asked if they cleaned the bikes too. He replied that they do clean the bikes. I picked my bike up a week or to later, and while the tune up seemed fine, they never cleaned the bike. Frame wasn't cleaned, brake calipers untouched, front and rear derailleurs, untouched, full of dirt. Should have received a discount on the tune up. Won't bring my bike back there again.

Orland Park Cycles did a full once-over on my 2022 Checkpoint ALR5 and I have not seen the bike so clean and fantastically riding since the day I bought it. It sees a lot of gravel and offroad trails and they really got into the nooks and crannies, did a fantastic job on the tire change/chain replacement, and just all in all - I have 0 complaints. The shop is full of hilarious and chill folks and I'll definitely be considering them when it comes time to pick up my N+1!

Whatever you do, DO NOT take your bike or trike to this place for repair or assembly. I took a recumbent trike I bought there to have it assembled. I paid an extra $100 so I wouldn't have to wait a month for it to be completed...$250 total. When I got it home I found one of the fenders broken which was conveniently covered while an employee helped load into my car. The I found that the back plate on the center guide sprocket was ben not allowing to the chain to stay on it. My mirror was installed on the wrong side. The trike was scratched where work was done and now while riding it one of the pedals pulled of the crank arm because it was cross threaded when put on. All in all, $250 to have it assembled, and another $260 in parts and labor to repair and replace what they ruined. Their works are incompetent at best. If you take your bike to Orland Park Cyclery don't say you haven't been warned. I gave it one start because is the lowest possible to post a review.

Nice try Jim but you have this all wrong as you did assembling my trike. My friend who knew bikes never touched it. He merely looked at it and realized it was beyond him. Your employee who helped me load my trike into my car lifted the 2 front wheels and had his hands over the broken fender. And again the back plate for the center guide sprocket was bent and the chain wouldn’t stay on the sprocket. And the mirror was installed on the wrong side of the trike. You charged $250 to assemble the trike. The $261 is additional parts and labor to correct the things that were done wrong. The reason I never contacted you in the past was because I heard how a customer was being treated when I picked my trike and I knew the response to me would be just as you replied so I knew it was pointless. I also didn’t contact you for 2 1/2 months because the pedal fell off today and I had enough of it. It was obviously cross threaded. You can make all the excuses you’d like to but I know what was done to my trike and your employees know they did it. That’s why they told me what a “monsterl it was to assemble when I picked it up.

Ed and the rest of the staff were very helpful in getting my neglected bike into working condition. They were able to get me a new chain and fit my new accessories in the same day. Overall, great customer service and amazing bike accessory/part selection.

Brought my bike to get serviced here. They didn’t know my wheels were tubeless so they charged me for new rim tape (I had perfect rim tape…) and for new sealant. I recently took off my tires and found NO SEALANT in one of the wheels along with 2 different rim tapes in each wheel, hmm. Glad I didn’t get a puncture out riding!

I wish there was a zero rating, that still might be to high for this scamming arrogant bike shop. Too many issues to complain about, so do your self a favor and go to Richards Bike shop. True , honest and sincere.

Little did I know, four days ago when I embarked on what I thought would be a simple task of paying to have my mothers bike tires replaced for her birthday, I would soon end up with a 3 minute long voicemail from the worlds most annoying and unstable man. That man is Jim, the owner of this bike shop. A man who owns a business, and somehow has never learned to take accountability for inevitable mistakes (refer to any negative review below and you'll see just how arrogant and patronizing the guy is.) Funny enough, I sent the shop a private email. Feedback as a patron that I was dissatisfied with the shops handling of my request to pay for new tires on my mom's behalf, and was instead charged $120 for any services they appeared to deem necessary, with no phone call alerting me to the charges. Jim decided to call me and leave the aforementioned voicemail, during which he basically apologized that I misunderstood how servicing a bike works (not an apology btw) and assured me the shop wasn't trying to scam me or "pull the wool over my eyes." After some consideration, I decided to discuss the situation (and the absolutely bananas voicemail I received) with my mom. She then let me know that she was told I had purchased a gift card for $120 to the shop. This was news to me, considering those numbers had never been mentioned in my conversation with Jim or the associate I had spoken with prior, who apparently insists I agreed to pay for a $120 gift card. Why I would lie about this, I have no idea, but that's besides the point. She was told she needed only one tire replaced, but the bike also needed several other services. All of this would have been fine by me had they called to let me know the bike needed more work than was requested (my original grievance), or potentially let me know if handling the charges by gift card would have been simpler for the shop. None of this was communicated to me. I genuinely did enjoy looking through other negative reviews of Jim's business to see his unhinged responses. I'm sure he'll somehow try to claim that this situation was handled appropriately and I simply did not understand, or that I'm lying about something as that appears to be his MO. I did see his response to another unhappy patron's review (possibly on Google) that the shop apparently records phone calls, to which I say, "roll the tape." Bottom line is, I'm now expecting a refund and the bike was taken elsewhere. Can confirm as others before me have claimed, Jim is in fact a total asshole. Support a different small business instead. Edited to include to the fact that this man took the effort to include name, address, and phone number of a dissatisfied customer in reviews. The red flags are alarming and possibly illegal?

Total ripoff. Sold a faulty e bike and wouldn't take return without charging us 250 dollars. You did charge 250. 185 restocking and 65 dollars for a charge card fee and we returned the bike. Bike didn't work right, first gear didn't work half the time and the aventon bike is waaay better

sold me a e bike that didn't work right. brought back day after buying it and was told it was ok. Said if any problems they would gladly take care of it. Bike still didn't work right brought back and they charged me $250 to return it 4 days after buying it. Total rip off! Sound friendly until you have a problem. And you did charge us 250. for the return. 185 restocking and 65 for a charge fee even after we returned the bike. And first gear assist didn't work right, sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Aventon is such a better e bike. so much better and not an idiot like jim to deal with

I was shocked my last visit how uncomfortable I was in the store. The first time I was in there a few years ago I bought a bike and it was a decent experience, but this time the employee that helped me might have been new and needed to ask other employees questions. They all seemed to be fed up with this employee and were condescending to him. I heard answers like "use your brain" and the attitude from them was quite noticeable. Although they were saying that to him, it was questions I was asking so I felt personally attacked. At that point I no longer felt welcome to ask further questions.I went in there with every intention of buying a bike, but they way that employee was treated in the store while customers were around (but employees should never be treated like that) just made me leave and want to go somewhere else.
