I went for the fresh made food. They always have a great selection. The employees are always so nice and helpful. One of my favorite places to shop!

What Disappoints me most about Mariano's is they run these sales with digital coupons and you show up they do not have the product you come in the next day they don't have the product you come in on the third date they don't have the product. it's a nice store people are nice but They don't restock their shelves You better jump on the sale the 1st or 2nd day other than that the last 4 days the shelves are empty so disgusting. Them and you will won't honor rain checks on digital coupons. Such a hassle that you have to download an app and access the sale that way.

If there is a problem with displaying correct price
then consider using digital price tags so that no one is confused how much the item is worth.
Otherwise it is called false/misleading advertising

Rather than disparage this particular establishment in elaborate detail, I will instead ask you to visit one of their locations in the northwest suburbs, like I recently did, and then in the purest form of honesty that you've ever been capable of in your life, kindly explain to me the reasons for such a dramatic contrast of experience.

Like anything that's owned by Kroger's, this was a good store when it was originally owned by Mariano's, now it's become one of the most expensive grocery stores in the area, I could drive their in 5 minutes but avoid it and drive twice as far for better prices. Also check your bags, the baggers rip you off, I've came home only to have the item on the receipt and not in the bag.

Very good place to shop. First, they have fresh items like their fruit, their parfait, (which I got), and their sushi. Second, the dude at the self checkout, was very kind and was helping me while checking out. This store definitely deserves 5 stars.

A few years ago I gave Mariano's multiple good reviews. I have completely changed my mind. The selection is still great and the prices are still ok. However the customer service has plummeted dramatically. The reason for this is that Mariano's which I am sure is a very profitable business does not care much about its elderly customers , people who who want to pay with cash, and people who don't have credit cards. Yesterday I went to the Orland Mariano's shortly before closing and there was NO line open to take my cash payment without a card. As long as the store is open there should always be at least one line that is not automatic. Last month I went to the Mariano's on 111th in Oak Lawn and there was around 100 people waiting and there was only one non automatic line. This was in the middle of the day when it was busy. If customer service was a high priority this NEVER would have happened. This consumes much time and I don't like to charge everything. Mariano's obviously does not care about people that would rather pay by cash or checks. Jewels always has more human manned lines open and I think Mariano's wants to force people to pay automatically to save money on staff. The customers should be a high priority too not just the stock holders. Unless I have a ton of coupons and have a whole day to spare for buying things I probably will not come in anymore for small purchases and I will probably come in much less frequently. Life is too short and when I go to Trader Joe's , Aldi's , Jewel, and Tony's I can always get out in a reasonable amount of time without being forced to pay with a machine or credit card.

The Mariano's website sucks. I just want to look at there weekly ad. It forces me to either sign in or become a member, just to view their sale. That's ridiculous. I'll shop more at JEWEL.

Stood at seafood for 10-15 minutes and no one came to help me. Drove here for 20 minutes. Specifically came here just for the seafood counter. Left empty handed.

The quality of meats, produce and refrigerated products has gone seriously downhill over the past two years. I've gotten meat that has turned sour after two days in the fridge, the meat counter staff are generally unfriendly, I've found mouldy bags of pasta in the cooler, and the produce is almost always near expiration. They have no issues putting out mouldy strawberries, onions and tomatoes on display, and they're always short staffed. I used to really like Mariano's for having so much variety and specialty goods, but at this point I expect to be disappointed when I purchase from them. Nobody really seems to care about keeping up a good clean store. I'm not going back.
