No staff. ONE area for checking out in a store with 2 floors is inconvenient. Lack of dressing rooms. I rarely go there anymore unless I have a good coupon and I know exactly what I need to buy. No joy in just looking around.

I have been going to Kohl's for many years and unfortunately, the service has noticeably declined. I was returning an item and waited in line unnecessarily for way too long. There was one clerk and eventually a Manager behind the return counter. The Manager did nothing to speed things along and refused to get on another register to expedite transactions. When asked to help, she stated she could not because she was not even supposed to be back there. She did have full site though and could see that the people in line were there for way too long waiting for the snail-like lone clerk to get through her returns.
Then we get to the sweet 92-year-old gentleman waiting in line in front of me. He gets to the counter with a credit card issue. This throws a whole new dent in the current situation which surely was not going to benefit this man or any remaining people in line.
Basically, this man wanted to know why his card was no longer active and how to remedy the situation. I along with my new friends in line watched as this issue was completely mishandled. The clerk and manager decided to have him reapply with their assistance. That went quickly awry because he did not have an email or cell # to provide.
They then told him to call the 1-800 number on the back of the card which he already told them he did just that before coming to the store and was a very back experience for him. He told them he got nowhere and could they please help.
This request led the clerk to dial the 1-800 number and put it on speaker so that he could follow the prompts while they assisted. While this fiasco played out and the unsatisfied, confused 92-year-old man nervously fumbled for his wallet, I pleaded to the clerk to return my merchandise. Honestly, I couldn't take it anymore. Again, the Manager was still behind the counter while this was transpiring.
I wished everyone in line good luck and headed over to the registers to make my purchase. This did not go smooth. One of my tops was on sale for 40% off however did not come up as such. The clerk asked me to take her to the place I found the shirt and show her the 40% off sale monitor. I did as was asked and when we walked back to the register my other items were removed. The same Manager, from the return counter was now at the regular registers putting unclaimed items wherever they go. The clerk told her those were my items, and she looked at me and laughed. However, she did apologize. I replied, "This has been quite an eye opening shopping experience". She laughed again.
I do think the employees need more training to assist customers in all scenarios and using simple common sense could greatly benefit customers unnecessarily delayed from additional shopping time. Instead, your customers forego additional shopping out of total frustration. As a final comment, I believe Manager's should prioritize jumping in wherever and whenever needed in situations as spelled out in this real life experience.
I do hope this review is read and taken with the intended purpose of improving the store.
I really would miss our neighborhood Kohl's.

Mgr Karen @ store 0068 needs to be retrained in customer service, her skills are nonexistent . She was yelling when there was no need to be rude. I'm the customer who treats others how I want to be treated and even after her rudeness I still treated her with respect.

Will not shop at this location any longer.
They can not even tell the time correctly. Was outside in 10
below wind chill weather & doors to store did not open until 905am
Seems they do not care about the seniors standing outside in cold
weather.

I didn't know amazon return service closed way before the store did. Walked in at 5:05pm and the worker told me "amazon is closed, tomorrow we open at 9am" such an inconvenience because I don't see the amazon service hours on the kohls website or at the door. Maybe some signs will help ppl not waste time and gas.

The Kohl’s in Orland Park is a complete disappointment. The place is so understaffed it’s beyond frustrating. The Amazon return line is always ridiculously long because they’ve shoved it into the far corner of the store where the WiFi barely works. Everyone in line spends 10 minutes just trying to pull up their return labels. It feels like Kohl’s doesn’t even want Amazon returns in their store. By the time you finally get the 20% off coupon for finishing your return, it’s pointless because all you want to do is get out of there—you’ve already wasted so much time.
The customer service counter is just as bad, with a line every single time. If you order anything large or valuable online and choose in-store pickup, be prepared to lose any time you thought you’d save. Please hire more people !

Shopping was very good, but I went to try on some of what I wanted to purchase the dressing room was full and people waiting. the store needs mor changing rooms. Rather than waiting I purchased my items and went home to try on. now however I have to go back to the store to get a different size. Not too ahppy about that!

I went into Kohls to return some things that I didn’t want and they have changed where you do Kohl’s returns SO needless to say that I stood in a longgggg line that was no longer for Kohl’s returns but now only for Amazon THEN I had to go back to the front of the store to process my Kohl’s return at the cash register and that line was wrapped like a snake and longggg SUCH a waste of my time and I hate spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast!!!
Bottom line KOHL’S put up BIG SIGNS that lets the customers know that Store returns can now be done with a cashier!!!!
