I must say I am thoroughly satisfied with the services received here at Brookdale. Dana Horton and Arlene was fantastic in the navigation and transition of my mom to Brooksdale. They made sure we were well taken care of and assisted in every way possible to ensure a successful move. I would definitely recommend Brookdale as the retirement home for your love one. Blessings to all the staff at Brooksdale. You are appreciated!

The staff is great, they are very attentive, and helpful. They have accommodated many of our needs. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us. Brookdale was our first tour and really made us aware of the positive aspects of living in a senior environment.

This is the community that jumps through hoops to make people's lives as normal and active as humanly possible . The staff are wonderful!

A family member had his mom there and she was over medicated and all the new clothing and bedding bought for her disappeared. Didn't get the care it cost the family and got her moved out of there.

My mother-in-law, suffering from end-of-life Alzheimers, spent her last two years in Memory Care at Brookdale Orland Park. All staff treated her exceptionally well - she was very happy during those years. The facility was always extremely clean. The staff was always extremely courteous. My wife and I could not have been happier with the experience.

Brookdale is a very friendly, well-engaged with guests, convenient and well-supported assisted living environment. They treat their guests as warmly and supportively as their own residents. You can be sure that your loved one is in great care and will be taken care of as a priority. Going through the pandemic, staff count has changed and while there are some changes going forward, it’s not something that has been concerning or greatly shifted when Covid was a bigger concern and on the rise. Thanks to persistence and keeping things up to date, on high alert- Brookdale of Orland Park seems to have things very well sorted and organized!

Not. Sharing. A lot. Clean. Modern. But. Staff. Not. To. Caring. Can. Be. Mean at. Time Some workers. Belong. Some. Don’t. Care. And. Can. Be. Mean. Glad. My. Mom is. Leaving. There. She was so. Upset and. Scared

I stumbled upon Brookdale when I needed a respite for my mom before a planned out of state move. The initial level of care I received over the phone let me know that I didn't have to worry. Then when the planned move didn't pan out, Brookdale assured me there was room for my mom and she has been in their care ever since. And the staff just embraced my mom, giving her the care and safety that she needs.

Do not send your family member to Brookdale of Orland Park if he or she needs Memory Care. They should not have a license to provide this care. My brother-in-law was there for a few months. More recently there have been issues with staffing, medication distribution and inability to treat their residents who have Alzheimer's. Many of these patients need more supervision and redirection. The staff are incapable of this. He is no longer there.

My 91 year old mother moved into Brookdale in Orland Park, IL 3 weeks ago. Everyone there, from the front desk person to the Director of Sales to the Director of Activities in the Memory Care facility worked very closely with me prior to moving in. Since moving in I am 100% impressed by the dedication of the staff in Memory Care. My mom was not happy about moving into a facility, BUT she couldn't find anything negative to say about the staff. They show great care for each and every resident. Jennifer Silas, the Dir of Activities, deserves her own special shout out. She works tirelessly to create activities that provide stimulation to both mind and body for each residents. The CNA's respect her and work hard to emulate her. Jennifer works alongside everyone- she's the type of boss who walks the walk! I am happy to say that 3 weeks in my mom has adjusted very well. It is all thanks to the staff at Brookdale!

This is in regard to the memory care unit at Brookdale of Orland Park, IL. My parent was there less than two years, suffered an unexplained broken rib, two bite wounds that drew blood, a drawer full of her medications that were never given to her which sent her down a road of such illness, always dirty, I repeat, always dirty, three changed of Executive Director as well as three Director of Nursing changes. Whenever I questioned staff, it always pointed back to blaming my parents dementia! I called and had formal complaints filed and investigated by the Illinois Department of Public Health which found them at fault and fined them. However, fines in Illinois is like a slap on the wrist. More legal accountability for long term care facilities is needed. As I navigated through all this garbage at this intolerable place, the rent jumped from $5300 to $6800! When I questioned them again it dropped back to $6100. They did not like someone calling them out on their neglect and wanted me gone. I got my parent out of there as quickly as possible.

I moved my mom to Brookdale on Saturday from another facility that was terrible. Walking into Brookdale was such a positive experience! All of the staff and the residents were happy and friendly and so far my mom has been treated very well. In the 3 days she’s been there she has already received her first COVID vaccine, the in house doctor has seen her, the nurse called me to give me the update on her doctor visit, and they’ve called to confirm that she will be seen by the in house home health nurse, OT and PT. I’m so happy we moved her there! It has truly been a positive experience for us.

My grandmother has been living here for almost 3 years and has been neglected by the doctors and nursing staff. She ended up with a bed sore and had to be treated elsewhere. She never should have gotten a bed sore. The doctor should have seen her way before but never showed up. This is negligence and will be reported.
