Dave potter did a great job with setting me up with a beautiful used Tesla Model 3! He was able to work with me being two hours away. From the moment I first called to inquire on the vehicle he was very transparent and helpful along the way. Went above and beyond to earn my business. Went to sell my car. On the phone they said they would give me the best deal. I went in and they offered me $400 less than what Carmax offered 2 weeks before. They also showed me a Carmax print out for my car and said they are a Carmax dealer. They said "We basically aren't going to make any money your car, we are just going to send it over to Carmax." I asked how he stayed open since he doesn't make money? He said " It's going to cost him $900 to have someone just look at my car. So, out of the goodness of their heart they loose $900 a car just so Carmax can stay in business. NEVER TRUST A USED CAR DEALER, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE. Oh, he also told me they charge $250.00 per hr for service.

Disappointed with Bettenhausen Automotive's Deceptive Practices and Lack of Integrity
I recently purchased a vehicle from Bettenhausen Automotive in Orland Park, Illinois, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. On May 11th, 2024, I bought a car from them despite it having over 115,000 miles on it. Shortly after returning to Kentucky, the check engine light came on, prompting me to take it to a local dealership for inspection.
To my dismay, the local dealership informed me that the catalytic converter had been replaced with incorrect, non-OEM parts that were not compatible with the vehicle. This is shocking considering Bettenhausen Automotive assured me of the vehicle's quality and reliability during the sale.
What's worse is Bettenhausen Automotive's response—or lack thereof—when confronted with this issue. They have outright refused to take responsibility or make any effort to rectify the situation. Despite purchasing the “Certified PO Maximum LTD warranty”, they refuse to honor it. This demonstrates a complete disregard for honesty and integrity in their business dealings.
As a customer who trusted Bettenhausen Automotive to provide a reliable vehicle, I feel deceived and taken advantage of. It's unacceptable to sell a car with such a critical component replaced incorrectly and then wash their hands of any responsibility when problems arise.
I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with Bettenhausen Automotive. Their apparent negligence and unwillingness to stand behind their products should serve as a warning to anyone considering a purchase from them. My experience has been a costly lesson, and I hope others can learn from it before making the same mistake.
I am currently stuck with a vehicle that requires expensive repairs due to Bettenhausen Automotive's incompetence and unwillingness to make things right. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Bettenhausen Automotive to reconsider.

Bettenhausen made sure I was 100% happy with my purchase! Sean H., Sam J. and Candice from Service were all so professional and gave us exceptional customer service! Will definitely purchase from them in the future! I ended up with a car I am very happy with!

They sold me a hail damaged vehicle at regular price. And the vehicle has a defective taillight, the radio sometimes doesn't work, it's a '22 with only 25k! They are not very helpful in making things "right" for a better deal, which I deserve, being the customer. I guess they dont want my business again in the future. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this dealer. I highly recommend driving the extra miles and go to Taylor CDJR in Bradley.

So I visited this dealership yesterday to possibly purchase a vehicle they had on their lot. I get there and test drive vehicle. I decide I want it only to be told I have financing but not the vehicle I wanted which I found odd. Then the salesman try to convince me to get a vehicle I really don't want. Take in mind the vehicle I was trading was worth more than the vehicle I wanted but they wanted me in a more expensive vehicle I didn't want. I don't think my business or time was appreciated. Why would you offer we another vehicle that was 6 years older than my car. Just don't make sense so I will take my business somewhere else. Not a friendly atmosphere either.

Went in for an oil change and to check why my check engine light was on to get whatever it was, was wrong fixed before my road trip and let me just say I am highly satisfied with the service! Candace was an extremely big help and went above and beyond for me to make sure that the repairs that were needed were covered under warranty and tried to save me as much money as possible! If you ever go in I highly recommend her she is great! Kept me informed on how long it would take for my car to be done and they made sure to get everything done just in time for my trip! Would give this place more stars if I could thank you for your wonderful amazing service!

Brought my Jeep in for an swaybar issue since my regular dealer couldn’t find the problem after numerous visits. Not even 15 minutes went by and the technician diagnosed the problem and rectified the issue soon after. I am now Team Bettenhausen.

I’d give them a 0 if i could. took the service department 3 hours to “inspect” my tire to see if it was covered under the plan i pay for. absolutely ridiculous and the girl helping me wasn’t help at all.

I had a bitter experience with this dealership, they cancelled the deal suddenly after collecting the deposit and cheques, saying some simple reasons. I almost wasted 3 weeks of time.
