Please do not take your pets to Banfield. Instead of being treated as loved ones, our pets are regarded as mere numbers in their care. Unfortunately, my beloved pet suffered a tragic end due to their negligence. As a new pet owner, I trusted the advice of the vets and vet techs at Banfield, a decision I will forever regret. Had I taken the initiative to conduct my own research and ask more questions, my pet might still be alive today. The staff at Banfield lied to me, assuring that certain tests, for which I was paying, were conducted annually. Unfortunately, they failed to investigate elevated levels and instead prescribed antibiotics as a solution. In January 2023, I raised concerns about my pet's high levels, only to receive antibiotics again with no subsequent follow-up. By May 2023, my worries deepened, and despite speaking to a vet tech, I was assured there was nothing to be concerned about.November 2023 marked a routine checkup, revealing that my pet's kidney levels were three times the normal amount. Rushing to the emergency vet, we discovered she was already in kidney failure with just a month left to live. Witnessing her gradual decline, she passed away in my arms on January 6th, 2024.Ironically, the VCA Animal Hospital and the Animal Emergency of Mokena, where the euthanization occurred, provided more comfort to my family despite our shorter acquaintance with them compared to Banfield. I received heartfelt letters and calls from both emergency vets, while Banfield I received nothing.Even my Pets Best animal insurance promptly canceled my subscription upon learning of my dog's passing. I didn’t even have to call them they took care of it for me which I very much appreciated. However, despite my pleas to Banfield's billing department about no longer having a pet, I continue to be charged monthly by BanfieldLearn from my painful experience and seek alternative care for your pet, where genuine love and attention are assured.

I was told to pick up anti diarrhea medicine for my puppy and a price was not communicated over the phone. Upon picking up, I was quoted a price for the medicine. Upon inquiring about pricing(which was outside of the service plan), I inquired why a price was not quoted over the phone to which the receptionist responded that the question was not asked. I found the receptionist to be rude as she lacked accountability for the miscommunication on their end.

The staff there is friendly, professional, & always greet you & your pets with a smile.I always feel like, my pets are as special to the staff & doctor as they are to my family. My dogs are greeted by name & with genuine concern, for their well being. Before I brought my dogs to Banfield, my one dog had gotten to the point that she was having seizures; when she would realize that she was at the Vet.Since she has been at Banfield, she has not had that happen to her, while at the Vet.I really appreciate the Banfield Veterinary for their service.

The Vet is very thorough and Prince although he had The " Mommy They Violated me Look" feels veey comfortable here. We had a 4:30 appt. 5:17 we were out the door. The Hospital is as clean as it can be for a pet hospital, the staff is warm and friendly. Make sure you get the Pet Wellness plan it's approximately $46/ mo but you'll be so happy you have it to keep your furry friend healthy and happy. Our $500 visit was $55 out of pocket!!!!! We've been visiting Banfield over 5 years now!

I really appreciated Nicole at Banfield Pet Hospital in Orland Hills. My dog had what turned out to be a tick in his ear and would have had to sit with it in his ear for two days if it wasn't for the kindness and caring of Nicole. The first time when I walked in I didn't really meet with the kindest person as I tried to explain the situation. I was told to make an appointment for two days later and that if it was a tick my dog should be fine with it on its ear for two days, so I made the appointment even though that information didn't feel right. I feel like it's important to note that I pay for the Banfield monthly insurance so at the very least I was expecting a helpful suggestion, not one to leave a possible tick on my dogs ear for two days. I understand not being able to always get an appointment.I came back later the same day and encountered Nicole! I was simply gong to change my appointment time as I realized I needed a later appointment and began explaining how my dog had something in his ear that might be a tick. I had a COMPLETELY different encounter. She completely engaged me in conversation that reflected her genuine care and concern. Same place, complete different experience. She even showed me what a possible tick would look like. Ultimately, she told me to go get my dog and bring him. She took him back to see the doctor real quick and when she came back she told me she was glad that I brought him in because it was a tick! She recommended that I give my dog an oral flee and tick ( she wrote down some brands) instead of topical because he has lots of fluff and I guess the topical solutions may not work as well for fluffy dogs. Her kindness and care cost nothing but was worth so much! Thank you to Nicole and to the doctor and staff behind the scenes who were willing to help!
