I’m just trying to understand how emergency room operate? So usually people that come to the ER need care immediately..Otherwise they would just make a regular doctor’s appointment correct? I was told patients are seen based on “severity” and not the order that you came in..Just wondering how do you determine someone else’s pain and whether it’s severe or not? Going by someone’s vitals doesn’t mean a thing..So because “you” think someone else is more urgent I just keep getting put at the bottom of the list? Everytime someone else comes in to be seen they constantly getting put ahead of me..Having to wait 10 plus hours to be seen is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! There is no sense of urgency at all! I just had to leave without even being seen at all..Who knows how much longer before someone called me to the back..People have actually died because emergency rooms determined it wasn’t “severe” This place is A Joke!!!! Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here either!

This place absolutely sucks and it’s dirty. I came in twice in one day and returned to find the same trash in the waiting room that was there when i left. There’s no telling what you will come in contact with here!!!These doctors like to tell you anything to leave. I was told once before I had an STD which I later found I did not have. My daughter was poorly examined but because she had more obvious signs of her illness she couldn’t just be sent away.Instead of using advanced data and numbers by doing proper tests and cultures, they just kept asking me the same questions. I am a pregnant exhausted mother and do not wish to repeat myself 5 times to 5 different people (4 of which weren’t even the doctor apparently).I also did not know this facility became a learning facility and would have appreciated the head up as I waited patiently to see people who obviously aren’t qualified to diagnose an illness and conduct tests without someone watching over them. I am completely disappointed with this facility and will likely never return.Last but not least, pain killers and fever reducers do not heal, THEY MASK SYMPTOMS!!! Do better.Thank you!

I personally think their maternity ward is very good. They do EVERY test. Even tests you don’t particularly need or want done just to be extra sure! They call other hospitals to ask other doctors opinions as well. And I’ve never been denied when I’ve asked them to do certain tests to give me ease of mind. I usually have DR.Williams. He is such a great doctor for the maternity ward. He’s checked into my twins health more then once when I panic and go and still does every test and everything just to be sure. I personally prefer their maternity doctors here compared to downtown chicago doctors. And the nurses are extremely sweet up there. Great job guys! If I’m down and about when my water breaks down there I’ll feel so comfortable giving birth here!

My brother was left laying in an ER bed complaining of CHEST TIGHTNESS for too long before they realized he was having a heart attack. Cardiac team was great but he's lucky he survived the ER.

I would leave negative stars if possible this place is a dump of a hospital as far as having competent staff. My father was brought to the emergency room at 4am and it took 6 hours for someone to call me and let me know where he was in the hospital. If you wanna send your family member to the hospital to die they would be excellent at that!

Close it down. Worst hospital I've ever been in. Militant. The staff is rude and unprofessional and it's a quackery! The doctors should be in prison. The social workers are people off street corners with no degrees!

The same thing has happened repeatedly. I tell them I have very thin skin and they can't put tape on me unless it's removed tediously with alcohol wipes. The whole back of my hand is completely bruised/blood just under skin looking. They have no hooks or shelf in bathrooms to set your stuff down. I have to set down my portable oxygen and purse on the floor no matter what area I am in. It's disgusting, they don't have concerns except their bottom line!!!

@ Raymond Grey, this is absolutely the worst hospital I’ve ever been to in my life. Staff was so unprofessional and rude. From the Charge nurse to the Crisis worker. Every staff member we encounter was rude . The Crisis worker was antagonizing my wife during our time of need. Then when we asked for names because we wanted to write formal complaints we were given the name of a nurse that we later found out was on vacation at the time. Even tried to call and was transferred so many times , hung up on and talked to very rude without getting any answers . No compassion from anyone in there except the security officer. Never recommend this hospital to anyone. I cannot believe this place is even allowed to operate.

My daughter was declared brain dead at this hospital. When they did that final test to determine responsiveness..before that..the administrator was nervously pacing the hall. Little did I know it was because they were waiting to meet with me and my husband to donate her organs-with the organization Gift of Hope. Vultures. That’s the word I thought. We decided to donate her organs (I felt very pressured) and I regret it. I feel very deeply for those whose organs are failing and I want them to have what they need-but not this way.My daughter wasn’t even worth a free tree planting , plaque, or bench in her honor for her sacrifice-our sacrifice. :( I would have loved to have a place to go to show people. We didn’t have enough money to bury her in the ground or for a headstone. They can’t help with that? Considering the profit they must have made off of her body parts the very least they might have done was not done. It’s quite sad and inhumane.
