My husband and I had to make a pit stop right when a major thunderstorm hit on June 29 at about 1:30 pm. We were getting back in our car when the rain and wind started. We decided it was not good in the car and to go back into the store. I could not get my car door open due to the strong 80 mph winds. The wind was blowing trash cans around the lot at this point and store door blown open. My husband got out and managed to get my door open and we ran about 15 feet to the door. The rain was pouring down and drenched both of us. Water was pouring onto the floor through the door making a small flood. It had only been a few minutes since the storm had started. The lights had shut off on the store, too. There were two cashier's behind the register counter. They told us to come on in and not to worry about the door still blown open with rain pouring in and to go into the bathroom, which was the safest place at that time. The cashiers, though, stayed at their register due to the power outage. We stayed in the bathroom awhile and more people came in with children. They were from the mobile home area down the street and came in for protection. The workers there were very kind, asking people if they were ok, if anyone needed any help, and offered us towels at one point to dry ourselves off. The storm rain took a bit to settle down to something manageable while driving. We finally were able to continue our travels, very appreciative of the kind workers at the station who helped us out. I just wanted to thank them for staying calm, helpful, and dedicated to keeping the store open and safe for people in a very bad situation. A very nice truck stop. Plenty of semi parking. For both regular and over sized. Very clean stocked and well maintained store with super friendly staff. Pizza and chicken nuggets were fresh and very tasty. Will definitely stop here again for a 30 min or 10 hour break. Parking lot does have a few holes so go slow.

Adult video shop next to parking lot is closed down, dirt section of lot is full of holes and men's restroom was disgusting.
