They asked to have the kids in socks but employees walks around with shoes on, the floor are carpeted. It was closed for the month of September for renovations, thought they’re updating the toys/exhibits but employee said they only painted the walls and changed the windows. Nothing was changed really. Some reason we came in and my nose has been so itchy I don’t even have allergies to anything nor seasonal.

The Wonder works children’s museum was packed with children and families this Saturday morning we visited. The facility was relatively clean for the amount of children running around. Reminder for new visitors: this is a nut-free facility. Pack snacks accordingly.
Bathrooms could use some cleaning and ongoing maintenance.
Staff was friendly and readily available throughout the facility.
Recommend buying tickets for special events ahead of time.

Place looks cool . Every time we go there my kid gets sick . Everything is sticky or dirty. More than ten kids around with runny noses and coughing . Honestly wish the staff was nicer . They are very rude . It sucks because we live so close and summer being here it would have been our go to but due to it being so dirty and the stuff being so rude . It’s a no for me and for most of my stay at home mom friends in oak park

Every time I bring my children here, they always end up getting horribly sick which says a lot about their sanitary precautions. Their policy states that they have safety protocols in place but I didn't see anyone enforcing them. There were multiple sick children in there and a grown woman running around without socks.. If you want to refrain you and your children from getting sick, stay away!

Yikes. Pretty sure I paid for my kid to catch something. In and out in under 20 minutes because I couldn’t risk it. They state they have a no sickness policy posted on their website site and door but it’s definitely not enforced. 4/10 kids there were visibly sick. Every surface looked dirty. I witnessed a child peering out of a play house window and spitting onto the play furniture. There’s a socks policy but a man with no socks! The staff was very friendly, but I won’t be returning. I’d feel so bad if I exposed my kid to illness because lack of enforcement for sick kids and irresponsible parents and uncleanliness surfaces and toys.

Loved it, for a small amount you can access and your little ones will have a blast, plenty of toys and so many to explore. Main entrance is on the rear of building and parking is limited. I really like there’s always workers cleaning and organizing the toys.
I feel like this place can be better maintained, the ceiling uncovered and unfinished top walls makes it look bad, kids won’t care about that for sure.

Was there yesterday for the dino exhibit they had going on. It was very nice. They had the place turned into dino world and the kids loved it. It's a very small place but the staff were very attentive and easy to talk to. Everyone was so friendly. There isn't alot of parking space though and the entrance is from the back on the building not the front!

Took my kid here twice and that's enough for me. As a parent you should not have to pay the full price. I'm there to watch my kid, not play with Legos. So why charge parents full price? Last time I went, several kids were sick. This should be a policy right at the door and it's just common sense people.Parents that do go here: watch your kid! It's not other parents responsibility to watch after your kid.

Can you be open during hours that children aren’t in school? Your hours make no sense.
