The pharmacy is TERRIBLE! Prescriptions are NEVER ready and they always saying "your insurance doesn't cover this medication" when in fact it does. They told me two hours for a script to be filled, I went back next day and it was NOT READY!!!

The WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! Do NOT trust them here to know what is going on. Ended up spending hours calling between the pharmacy, doctors office, and insurance JUST because of their incompetence. Spent 40+ minutes on hold and I NEVER even got through. Their phone system DOES NOT WORK. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

One star simply for the faces the pharm tech made because I was speaking to her. She wasn’t pleasant at all and I felt like I was a nuisance. Enough so that I don’t want to give this company anymore business. I’m sick of feeling like a jerk because I make you do the job they’re paying you to be there to do. Tattoo on the top of her hand said queen and I’m assuming the “of Karens” part was hidden by her sleeve. Thanks for making me feel like I did something cruel by giving you business

Wow. I just recently found out that Walgreens is in-network with my insurance, so I asked my optometrist to send my prescription to this location because it's the closest to my house. I haven't received any notification about my prescription being ready because I don't have an account set up yet at Walgreens. All I wanted was to give them a quick call to confirm whether it's ready or not. First I waited forever for someone to pick up the phone. Then a lady picked up and asked in an extremely rude and unfriendly voice "who are you waiting for!?" I explained that I had a question about prescription, so without another word she transferred me somewhere else, again I wanted forever, and then someone picked up - and promptly hung up on me! I don't want to do business with a place that treats its customers like this, insurance or no insurance!

I've had repeated issues with the Walgreens pharmacy, including excessively long wait times for prescriptions and the drive-thru being closed on extremely cold days. The overall management seems ineffective, as the staff often appears untrained and inefficient. This lack of leadership and poor customer service needs urgent attention. I strongly suggest reviewing and improving the pharmacy's management and operations.

Possibly the rudest and the most unprofessional pharmacy staff ever!! If you have to pick up a prescription that means that you are to a degree a patient. This pharmacy staff treats you with an unparalleled level of disrespect and carelessness. The Pharmacy Technicians are not well trained and most have poor customer skills. The Pharmacists which are supposed to be role models and lead by example, are the worst culprits of all. Asking this staff questions is like a cardinal sin. The techs do not know the answers and the pharmacists respond to you with disrespect, yelling and with an incredible attitude. It is downright flabbergasting. They do not take accountability and solve all wrong doing by just saying: “ Come back in an hour ior two”… As a doctorate prepared healthcare professional, I am embarrassed of the display of patient care bestowed at this pharmacy. I know firsthand what it is to be swamped and busy at work. However, you never forget that patients have unmet needs and deserve to be educated, treated with kindness and respect. Shame on you! Do your job as per oath. If it is that they hate their job then they should leave the profession. I advice them to change careers and go do a job that does not require caring for patients. Walgreens—- education is not the only requirement to hire. Re evaluate your employees’ soft skills and strengths. These folks you have hired are a disgrace to the healthcare professional world!! These thoughts are not based on only one encounter BTW!!

I have drug coverage through my wife's insurance. Walgreens' system says that coverage was terminated when she changed jobs 2 years ago, even though my insurance company has confirmed that it's still current. So each time I need a prescription or a vaccine, I go through this same circular discussion. I show them my proof of coverage, they look at their that computer says I'm not covered. And no one at Walgreens cares.

wish I could give it zero stars. Waited in line for 40 minutes to be told prescription wasn't filled because it was too soon and insurance denied. It was a NEW prescription! Called insurance and they said it was approved. Came back 40 minutes later and it still wasn't filled and they told me to get to the back of the long drive thru line and I refused. Staff got irate and I told her try to move me, fill my prescription. They did and charged me $250 and said I would have to come back for a refund if insurance paid for it. I always say I'll never go back there but then I do and then it's the same. Arghhhh

This is a terrible pharmacy. You can waits hours or even days for a simple prescription to be filled. Go to the doctor, get a prescription and then wait a couple days and you might get to start taking your medication. And when you call to find out what is going on, they say the pharmacy is "working on it". How long does it take to count to 15?

This pharmacy is a waste of time. Nobody know what’s going on. I keep being promised my medication will be in stock and I stand in line for hours, only to be given a different reason every time why I can have it. I’ve gone through insurnace and my doctor’s office, and both say that it’s this pharmacy’s fault for mixing up doses, mistaking medications, and filing things as refills as opposed to new prescriptions, causing a domino effect of rejections with my insurance. This Walgreens is the common denominator.

Did not fill my prescription for Covid antiviral! My regular pharmacy was out of Paxlovid so I called this Walgreens to transfer the prescription to be filled. I was told it was no problem, gave all my contact information, name and number for my regular pharmacy, and was told it would be done. 4 hours later, no prescription, no record of my call, the person I spoke with argued with me - told me if I had called there would be a slip of paper with my information. My regular pharmacy was closing in 10 minutes so I asked if they could call and take care of it, explained the urgency that it was a Covid medication. I was told the pharmacist was on break so it would have to wait until the next day. Unacceptable for a giant pharmacy chain to drop the ball on doing their main job, to fill prescriptions!!! It was their error for not following through with contacting my pharmacy, they should have been able to call before it closed. Forcing someone with Covid to wait until the next day for medication is unacceptable when it was their mistake. Walgreens does NOT care about its customers, it is not interested in anything other than making money.

My review is for the pharmacy at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and Madison in Oak Park, IL. The pharmacy technician told me it was too late to fill my prescription. I arrived an hour before closing. I was given the addresses of two 24-hour Walgreens pharmacies. Neither of the locations provides 24-hour pharmacy service. I was sent on a wild goose chase by an indifferent pharmacy technician. My daughter had had four wisdom teeth removed. We drove around aimlessly and had to wait until the next day to fill the prescription. Why doesn't the staff at Walgreens know where to find a 24-hour pharmacy in the area?

I would give ZERO if I could. I had a prescription sent over and they called about my insurance but failed to mention that they could not fill the prescription. I called multiple times after i did not receive a notification that the prescription was ready but no one answeres the phone. After a week I went there in person and wasvthe only one in line. It took 10 minute for someone to acknowledge I was there. I asked about my prescription and THAT Was when they told me they didn't have it in stock! If they would have told ne they could not fill it in the first place then I could have had it transfered to another pharmacy but no, they only cared about my insurance information and not patient care.
