I forgot to mention that they work their staff members like slaves. They've been understaffed since the pandemic, forcing the staff they have to work 7 days a week with no time off. You pretty much have to be on your death bed to get a day off. Then there's the CEO Mr. Jimenez...he is not to be trusted, he likes to spend the company money at an Italian restaurant down the street from the facility. He once attempted to have me buy a bunch of gift cards and send him the numbers scratched off the back of them, so he could get the money. On top of that, he does not care about the residents living there.

Just okay. No frills. Lately very disappointed with kid swim lessons after an 11 years span of on/off attendance, two kids. Three continuous months of lessons for my child, with no progress since every session reverts back to the beginning with the weakest participants. The lack of actual swimming during class is disappointing. The y has done better in the distant past and should do better with this very valuable program that draws families in. I will say there is one notable instructor, (maybe more) but unfortunately for my child wasn't placed with them. Overall, the facility seems to be in its best shape. Minimal swim times available for adults is another drawback.

My son has been learning to swim at the YMCA west cook. The program is one of the best swim programs in the state.

I bring my son to swimming classes and he as well as the other kids have to use the locker rooms to change, but there’s a guy every Sunday at the same time showering and walking naked in the locker room where we were told to take the kids to change,I told the person in the front desk about it and he was perfectly fine with this going on,are there any regulation in here to protect the kids from this?there’s a few mothers that bring their kid to the class and do go in the locker while their kids do,and probably are not aware of this situation

I have been a member of this YMCA for three months now. I go daily to use their machines, mainly the rowing machine. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The lady cleaning the equipment does an exceptionally good job. Parking nearby is free and convenient. My monthly fee is very reasonable. Everything about this place has been very positive. If you want a place to exercise which is very clean, safe with well maintained equipment then give this place a try.

I'm impressed how clean the facility is. The childcare option is great to have although I haven't use it yet. Cardio equipment is updated, and yes, weight lifting equipment may not be the most diverse (especially for legs) but it is enough for me. Best part everyone keeps mentioning, everyone minds their own business and there is no ''pressure'' as far as seeing all people working out from teenagers to older adults in all levels of fitness.

I joined in March and I couldn't be happier. Good vibes and great equipment. The workout space is well laid out with a lot of natural light. Highly recommended!

Came in on a Thursday early afternoon was interested in signing my family up for a membership. The older lady with short hair at the front desk was rude. I asked if we could tour the facility and she flat out said no.She seemed as if we were bothering her. She told us to go online to see what it looks like and then she told me that if I wanted to see anything in person that I would have to make an appointment but she isn’t gonna guarantee an appointment because they are shortstaffed..I will be looking into another facility.

I have been a member for several months now and have enjoyed working out here. It's a YMCA I don't expect a 5 star facility. I think they are making great use of the space they have and I'm able to get everything I want to get done here. The indoor track is ridiculously small, it's good for warming up for a few laps but you get tired of running in circles pretty fast. What are you gonna do it's built on a city lot. Regarding the sauna, other reviews indicate the men's sauna is useless. This was the case but it's been repaired. Has worked great for me the last month or so. There's no personal trainer on staff, weight equipment is limited, there may be a few other things I could nit pick about but I'm mostly happy with it. Parking lot is ample which is a big plus in a city.

The best parts of this YMCA:The building and equipment are kept clean. The woman who does the cleaning work is very thorough. The front end staff are friendly and helpful with maybe one exception. Honestly the front end folks are great. The steam room is nice but the men’s sauna is cold and does not get nearly hot enough to actually enjoy using. What needs work:Not a lot of equipment is available when many people are in any one area. On the surface things seem good but it is almost like they don’t want to increase their membership. They still have most of the equipment blocked off for Covid precautions. If you are interested in actual weight training there are very meager options. Currently there is only one bench press and one smith machine. There is not a: squat rack, no kettle bells, no medicine balls, no boxes for jumps or high steps.Currently there are now no benches to be used because all three of the ones they did have broke over a period of three months and they say it will be a few weeks before the two new ones will arrive. They do not have child care. Whenever I ask they say in two or three months they will have it but that has been for over a year now.I am still not sure if their basketball gym is open either. In summary if you don’t need child care to get to the gym and all you really want is cardio equipment you have options here. The class options are something I know nothing about.

Terrible Management. The basketball courts have been closed for 2 years! Good luck getting in a class there by the way.

I really have enjoyed this little YMCA. For basic workout needs and fitness, it works for me. It's always clean, the staff is nice and helpful, and the equipment is maintained. But it is little and therefore limited. I've belonged to other YMCA's that had way more space and were able to, therefore, accommodate a broader range of programs. However, I knew what I was getting into when I signed up and recognize they are attending to more than just workout needs given the housing portion of the building - I try to remember that every time I walk in. I felt they did a great job during the pandemic and for that, I'm extremely grateful. My two "complaints" would be that it seems to take a long time to remedy issues in the locker rooms. And, I wish they had more robust programing, particularly for teens in the way of fitness. The class offerings are very limited and not terribly diverse. (I know there have been staffing shortages everywhere so maybe that's a factor.) Overall, I still enjoy the little place and know they are confined by the building they are in so try to be grateful for all they do within the smaller urban space.

This YMCA is terrible. I have a family membership and they made me reserve a week ahead just to tell me their system was down and that I could not come back since their system would continue to be down for several weeks. So dissatisfied with this location and, ultimately, with YMCA overall.

I came in with a guest pass from the Carleton hotel. The staff was friendly and the gym was clean, still had dividers and signs up. There was very limited equipment. Another review mentioned this is not a place for a lifter and I agree. No squat rack, only 1 Olympic barbell (on a bench press), and 2 cables. There's 2 leg press machines, but they're a sad replacement for a squat rack. Three benches total, only one where you can use a barbell. The other two are adjustable and for use with dumbbells. They have curl bars up to ~110lbs, and a few other curl bars also available.
