The folks who work at this Hertz are responsive and helpful; I got my rental car quickly, and when I thought there was a problem with the engine (which ended up not being an issue), they were quick to work with me to resolve the issue. However, the car I was given during the initial rental was not sufficiently clean on the inside - it smelled like cigarette smoke and there were stains on the passenger seat. Also, I never received my receipt when I returned the rental car; the man I spoke with told me I should check my spam folder, but there were no emails from Hertz there.

big corporation and they don't have people to clean the cars ... the people who do the contracts in the offices do the cleaning too ... shame on them for making fun of the employees

Yup, believe the reviews. I didn't and I was left with no car. Made a reservation and showed up. The guy working was the only one there and the line went down Madison. After waiting, found out they had no cars available, even with a reservation. So...take this as a warning, check before you show up. Had to drive to O'Hare since it was now after 6pm.

Stay away from this place they have one person working ! The place is so small and dirty and they can't even keep track of who is in line! Very unprofessional! Everyone in the place is mad at the service!

Just so everyone knows this location is not open on Saturday as the website says
I had to walk there and there was a handwritten sign saying closed Saturday so they must have done it on their own Hertz needs to be aware but either way don't believe what they tell you

They got one guy working who looks like he hates his life he had everyone wait outside in the heat . I know it’s not his fault for being the only worker corporate needs to do better and supply them with more workers cause this is ridiculous this man needs a raise

Dirty cars and LAZY staff. The wait time is INSANE and it would be shorter if they would have the cars cleaned already and not after a person pays because now that cuts into the customer’s schedule. If my pickup is scheduled for 10AM. I expect to be out of there by 10:10-10:15 the most. Not 30-40 mins after.

Currently in a car. Marcus was very helpful from our call in. Kenosha was friendly and knowledgeable. Joy was pleasant and knowledgeable and took care of me.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HERTZ OR THE ONE ON LINCOLN , THEY WILL EDIT YOUR CONTRACT TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOU HAD THE CAR LONGER THAN WHAY YOU HAD. THEN WILL STILL TAKE THE MONEY FROM YOU. I RETURNED THE CAR MARCH 29th AND THEY HAD MY CONTRACT THAT I HAD THE CAR UNTIL APRIL 5th. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM FOR 2 MONTHS STRAIGHT WITH NO ONE RESPONDING TO ME OR REFUNDING THE MONEY THEY OWE. DONT RENT HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This place being a hole in the wall, was the first red flag. Two pieces of advice - 1. run and 2. do not rent from here. They have charged my AMEX erroneously. I should've read the reviews before hand. They will attempt to sell you insurance, the way I've read that Frontier airlines makes you check a bag that fits. You don't need the insurance. There are other more professional and reputable places you can rent a car from.

This place has horrible service. They take a while to give you the rental. First the car I was renting it's smells bad. Second, when I returned the rental, the girl working there ignored me and let another person go before me. I said I was here first, and she refused to give me a receipt. That she will send it to the insurance. Third, she never did. They overcharged me. Fourth, I had to go in person to get the receipt for the insurance. They overcharged me and never gave me my money. I had a horrible experience with this location.

Excellent rented electric car (Tesla 3). No major problems over 900 km total.
The car preparation service, however, is faulty: windshield not clean, driver's door and window poorly adjusted, tire pressure sensor out of service, initial battery charge level at 45% instead of 80% .
