I had heard Body Gears was amazing, but now I know for sure. We have been taking my son to see Dr. Nick for a couple of months and I can’t say enough about him or the practice in Oak Park. Top of the line care. If you need PT, look no further than Body Gears and Dr. Nick.

Best experience I’ve ever had with physical therapy. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything we were working on. He was patient and kind with all my questions and concerns, and his techniques have been incredibly helpful with my lower back issues. He was a pleasure to work with. Everyone that works there is professional and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

I had a double knee replacement and Chris treated me both before and after. Needless to say, his care was excellent, thorough and knowledgeable. The front desk was always kind and helpful, and the clinic was clean and inviting. I am so grateful that my primary care doctor recommended this therapy, and I would send any of my family and friends to this practice. Thanks to Chris’ expertise, I have made a full recovery and I’m stronger than before.

TLDR: Had acute back pain since 2010 with countless back spasms that would take me out for several days at a time. Saw way too many medical professionals including doctors, spinal surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors etc. to no avail. Did research, looked for a physical therapist with a Phd and a CSCS, came across Kyle Blair. He has helped fix me up to the point where I rarely have any pain now, even after a lower body workout. To go from rarely having a pain-free day to rarely having a painful day is truly remarkable and lifechanging.Full version that no one cares about:I have dealt with acute back pain for over a decade with no signs of it improving. I would frequently have back spasms that caused piercing pain. It truly was life-altering at times. I have taken too many PTO days because of this.Since 2010, I have seen countless doctors (including two spinal surgeons), four different physical therapists, a chiropractor, received several anti-inflammatory shots, had x rays, and two MRIs; I went to a "pain management" facility (what ever the hell that is), I saw this specialist, I saw that specialist, on and on and on. Nothing worked. I found it particularly disgusting that several doctors suggested I go on a regiment of prescription painkillers and/or muscle relaxants. Hell no. I kind of lost hope. I accepted that I would just have to be in pain for the rest of my life. Two years later: Enter Dr. Sturat McGill and Dr. Aaron Horschig from Squat University. I came across these two on the internet. Before learning about them, I just assumed all PTs were the same. I would just go to the PT place that was closest to home, the cheapest, or the PT company that my doctor recommended. I never did any research into *individual* physical therapists. After doing some research, I set myself out to find a physical therapist that had a PhD and was a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), which led me to Kyle Blair.Kyle had me perform some tests as he analyzed me. He then came up with his opinion and did a wonderful job of explaining the details of what he thought my problems were. It was interesting that his opinion was quite different from my previous PTs, but I was going to run with it and go all in.After just a few short weeks, it was apparent that I was heading in the right direction. Kyle was clearly on to something. After several months, I continued to improve. I still have flareups but now they happen less frequently, they are less painful, and they require less time to recover. Kyle has reassured me that this is normal. He has done an excellent job of keeping me from getting discouraged.Eventually, I had to start going to start going to the Lincoln Park location because it is so much closer to where I live. Fortunately, Kyle strongly recommended a certain PT at the Lincoln Park location that would be able to pick up where he and I left off. Given how successful we were in just a few months, I trusted his judgement. My journey is far from over. But I am very clearly heading in the right direction and I attribute a lot of that to Kyle and Tyler at the LP location. I am now in my seventh or so month of PT with Body Gears; and believe me, I would not still be going if I was not progressing. If you're recovering from an injury, you might only need a few weeks of PT, I don't know how that works. But if you've suffered from chronic pain for years/decades, it might take some time to reset your neurological system, biomechanical system or whatever they're called. Just stick with it and remain positive when you have setbacks (because you will have them). Now, some days I am able to do a lower body workout and have zero pain/tightness during and afterwards. And I mean barbell deadlifts, RDLs, back squats etc. This was absolutely impossible back in June 2022. Just to give you an idea of where I was, a standard barbell deadlift with less than half of my bodyweight was almost an automatic back spasm within a few reps.I am sure there are plenty of good physical therapists at Body Gears and at ot

I received PT at Body Gears Oak Park 2x for 2 separate issues. The first time was for my knee and the most recent was for my shoulder. I have been impressed with not only my results, but with the staff and the very personalized plan of care. I never felt like I was placed in a box, I always felt and knew that my therapy was very specific to me. The assessments are thorough and the staff are very knowledgeable professionals. The clinic manager, Kyle, went above and beyond for me. I had an MRI done that I felt wasn't read correctly and he listened to me and heard me and took the time to refer me to a shoulder specialist. I received a call from the doctors office to schedule my appointment for my 2nd opinion because Kyle reached out to them (he received the go ahead from me before proceeding, of course). This meant a lot to me and ultimately resulted in the resolution of my 7 year shoulder problem. I highly recommed Body Gears Oak Park and they will always be my go to for physical therapy

I engaged with Kyle at Body Gears when I was feeling a bit hopeless in managing some significant pelvic and pelvic floor pain. The team was super responsive and supportive through the process. Kyle listened well, thought about what a treatment plan looks like holistically and the whole team were incredibly professional. The outcome for me was positive including ongoing tools to manage my recovery and any future episodes with pain. I'm grateful to Kyle and the entire Body Gears PT team! I 100% recommend their practice.

In the past year I worked with Kyle and Mark at Bodygears on two programs to improve my strength, flexibility, and balance. The BG team is very knowledgeable, thorough, patient, personal, and professional. From helping me translate my goals into results, to working with my insurance provider, they did a great job to meet all my expectations. I would highly recommend BG Oak Park to anyone in need of PT services.

Kyle is the best! Body Gears is head and shoulders a better way to go as compared to the the big chain PT clinic I originally started my PT with. If you are looking for personal attention and a thoughtful, hands-on approach to your recovery, look no further- book an appointment with Kyle right away!!

Kyle is phenomenal to work with. I went to him with a condition I wasn't originally too thrilled to talk about, but he has a way of putting your mind at ease and making sure you are comfortable. He not only knows his stuff, but understands how to tailor his communication approach to make sure you understand both the "what" & "why" in your course of treatment.

I had a great experience working with Kyle, Patricia and team. We started working together in January 2022, managing two different recoveries in parallel, completing the program just this week. I feel much better from where we started. I trust Kyle as my PT as he was often my voice of reason when I tried to push forward at a faster pace than sometimes my body was ready for. I highly recommend working with Kyle, he has a great demeaner, is patient and developed the right plan for me to succeed with.

Body Gears really is fantastic. I had all 3 of the physical therapists: Chris, Allison, and Kyle, and all of them were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. My primary PT was Kyle, and I really felt like he knew what would help with my problem now and for the future. I’m so glad I found Body Gears - they were convenient, kind, and first class. I highly recommend them!

Kyle and the staff are awesome to work with! Helped me get back to sports (golf, basketball, swimming) after dislocating my left shoulder and having surgery on my right shoulder. Very personable and knowledgeable team that provide exceptional care.

Kyle is amazing! he listens and understands my concerns. His regimented program focused on my body's needs and executed them in a timely manner to where I was able to get back on track in just a few weeks. Patricia was also accommodating with scheduling and getting all paperwork prepared.Thank you both!!

Body Gears is the best physical therapy place I’ve experienced They give you individual attention and are attuned to what you need and how to help you achieve your goals. I’ve been to other places which do not compare. Body Gears went thru a transition period but is back to its stellar service with amazing therapists. Rose. Chen
