Great choice of tap beers and a good size refrigerated section. Great place to relax or grab n go. I have seen children in here during the day but not at night. You can also bring food in here since they don’t sell food which is nice. Pet friendly too. Staff are polite but not outgoing. I’m not a regular. I do recommend.

This place is a neighborhood staple. I would describe it as a beer cafe, since many people come here to mingle, relax , or work. I've been going here since 2020 and was welcomed in with open arms by the community. I saw some of the poor reviews and it's a shame because I know those folks haven't been in more than once. I'm leaving this review here because why not! i've been here dozens and dozens of times and its been mostly positive! The owners really,really care too!

This was my first time trying out the Beer Shop with my out of town friend. It had a nice atmosphere with lots of choices of beer. Highly recommend that s'mores stout. The staff was friendly and let us know that people sit in to work all the time. They had board games on the side and dogs are allowed. Because of that, not a lot of food options. I think we saw some chips. It's in a area where you have access to several parking lots wirhin walking distance and the metra/green line was at most a block away. I'll have to stop by again when work is not so hectic.

I always hate this place. Not cute, but it's convenient. Good selection of beer but it feels like a dive bar. Even the outside seating isn't as good as it should be. the I try to go elsewhere, and every once in a while need a reminder.

The second to last time I was there they overcharged me (based on the price sticker on the beer) and the last time I was there, the stockboy dropped some cans of beer on the ground which immediately started spraying everywhere with me quickly moving out of the way and narrowly avoiding the spray only to have him take the spraying cans behind the bar and into the sink where for some reason they started spraying out further and this time I did not avoid the spray which I thought was pretty obvious to him and he didn't even acknowledge it. No sorry about that, no want a towel? Just completely ignored it.

Friendly and neighborly place to have a sip. Buy something from the fridge to take home. Relax in an overstuffed chair or the sofa if you don’t want to sit at the bar. Fido is welcomed.

Nice hip vibe for craft beer with diverse crowd. Good packaged selection. Hoped for more draft options but what they had was good.

Several children are currently in this bar. I don't leave the house to drink because I want to explain line etiquette to a 7 year old.

A fun place for serious beer drinkers. The stale smell of beer is overwhelming. The female bartender is rude and impatient with customers.

I’m a big fan of the beer shop, it’s definitely an asset to the community and a great meeting place. As a non-drinker, I’ve always loved that they stock not only six-packs but single cans of NA brews so that I can still grab something when I go to hang out with my friends. However, the last several times I’ve gone the fridge that holds the NA beers has been so cold that all of the cans are frozen and not drinkable. It’s sort of a bummer because it has meant that we’ve left and gone to other bars/restaurants in the area even when we’ve wanted to hang out here. The staff has always been really great about the situation though and tries to find a solution, even in a rush.Edit: I’ve now been in at least two times since leaving this review and it has still been an issue. I don’t know if the fridge itself is broken but I’m not sure I will return until I’m certain that it is fixed.

No place like this in Oak Park, always a well-curated beer selection with willing and knowledgeable tenders. They stock cold beer too. What else do you need?

Cool place! Was really looking forward to going since we stayed nearby. Good tap selection and a good, albeit small, can selection. I walked away with 7 but there was a discount on six so that was a nice surprise. Neat atmosphere here as well.
