I had gone to Home Depot to pick up materials for my basement renovation. I was fortunate enough to get Misheka Hutchins to assist me. She was very knowledgeable. She suggested two things that I would need to complete the shower bed. She reviewed my entire list with me and answered all my questions. Misheka gave such excellent service to me that when I had to go back for more supplies needed by the contractor I willing to wait until she returned from vacation. She definitely made me feel like a valued customer and made Home Depot look like the place to go to. Kudos to Misheka and Home Depot for having such a knowledgeable associate who cares about their customers.Sheila N

I highly recommend that you do not buy an GE appliances from Home Depot. They have ridiculous policy regarding reporting damages and detective product (within 48 hours). Of course you can see physical damage immediately. However, you cannot detect a defective product within 48 hours, and even if you do trying to get a new appliance is impossible. It seems like I might have to take my case to Small Claim Court. Here is my story. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing because I received two damage and defective GE stoves, and I would like a new stove in perfect working condition and damage free. On October 26, 2022, I purchased the GE gas stove from Home Depot. My Home Depot order is H1955-231119. On November 12, 2022, the stove was delivered damaged. I called within 48 hours, and the store order me another stove. The stove was scheduled to arrive on November 25, 2022. On Friday, November 25, 2022, the second stove was delivered and it was defective. The burners on the left side of the stove will not come on. I called within 48 business hours office was as and GE scheduled a repair appointment. The appointment was scheduled for November 30, 2022. Please note: I called GE on Sunday, November 27, 2022, but the office was close. On November 30, 2022, the GE repairman arrived and attempted to fix the stove. He changed out the igniter control board. This did not resolve the problem. He said, " it is probably the igniters. I do not have that part. I will have to order it". Then, he scheduled another appointment for December 12, 2022. By this time, I was throughly dissatisfied with the service and I requested a new stove. He stated, "he could not order me a stove new. He is the just repairman". Then, I placed a call to several different departments (the Home Depot delivery department, Customer Care, and GE Warranty). After several hours on the phone and speaking with many people in these departments (including the managers Monica and Nicole), I was finally told to contact the store (Home Depot). Frustrated with the run around on the phone, I drove to Home Depot and spoke with the Closing Manager Ray. After explaining my ordeal with the stove, he apologized and agreed that I should receive a new stove. However, he has to speak with the other manager and call back tomorrow. On December 1, 2022, I spoke with Manager Kim and I explained the situation. She stated that she will look into ordering me a new stove. On December 3, 2022, I called Home Depot to speak with Kim. Kim was not available so I spoke with Assistant Manager Christina. Ms Christina read the notes and said GE has denied my request for a new stove. This is totally unacceptable and unfair business practices. Failure to send me a new stove goes against Home Depot's return policy and GE return policy which is listed at . My issues was reported within Home Depot guidelines (within 48 hours) and it was definitely reported within GE guidelines (within 7 days of delivery to my home and 30 days). Failure to issue me stove is unethical. New products should delivered undamaged and in perfect working conditions. A new store should not require several major parts before I can use it. To resolve this issue, I am requesting a new stove that is in prefect working condition and free of damage ASAP. Your prompt attention to this matter will be greatly appreciate. I entered the store approximately 5:55pm on Sept 05,2022. I was wearing a gray San Francisco Barry Bonds Jersey black military cargo pants and green flop Sandals in case the manager Christina wants to check the camera. I approached an employee and asked where I could find WD40 lubricant at which time he said wait and kept walking. I followed two aisles over he was unaware I was behind him. At which time just before he entered the employees area near the wood department I called out and said I'm still waiting and where is the WD 40 located he said he did not know and I told him next time don't play games with me. I will not give the store a rating based on this one idiot probably rushing to get off work . But the employees are the representatives of the store and a couple incidents like this from one employee is enough to make customers shop elsewhere!!!!

I came here 2 purchase some artificial grass 4 my dog. I asked a female worker who cuts the rug roll. She told me some1 does it and she would get them for me but needed me 2 clear the aisle because they had 2 stock sum inventory. I said ok. Waited by the appliances for her and the forklift driver 2 do their thang. They finished and assumed she would get the rug tech for me since I waited 32 minutes. No 1 showed up. Wanting to complete my project 2day I decided 2 give my money instead to the man, Mr. Bezos. I may have 2 wait a day or 2 but I don't have 2 deal with incompetence just my internet connection & my IPhone. Viola!

Good luck trying to speak to anyone in management here! Have called and gotten the rope a dope phone transference where no one ever comes to the phone.The service here has deteriorated in the last year horribly! From a surly in-store customer service rep to employees in the aisles that totally ignore you or have no idea where things are or know how to direct you to someone that can, to mislabeled items.. Not sure whats going on here but it needs correcting quick.

So I thought I bought 3/4 plywood. I'm building boxes for competitive acting in high school. When I got home with 10 sheets I realized I already got them in my basement and started working with them. And realized it was 5/8. I called my customer who actually is my son he's a teacher. I told him about the problem and that I can still make the 5/8 work. But we should get back seven dollars for every piece of plywood. So I went to the store and explain to one of the cashiers because the managers had a meeting going. A manager called me back and said they looked on the video and I had taken five stripes on their plywood which is 3/4. I have pictures this is not 3/4 this is 5/8. I've been a carpenter for 30 years. He said well there's nothing I can do I can't see that that's 5/8 on the video. I'm Very disappointed! I'm going to try lowes.

First of all, why do they staff the customer service counter with high school kids that don't really know anything about household services? Just had the worst customer service at the store in Oak Lawn this morning 6/27/21 @9:30. Absolutely no help at all, won't recommend to anyone!

home depot on 95 and pulaski is the best store to go to im a contractor and sometimes I have to spend several precious minutes looking for a cart in the parking lot sometimes I can't even find none and is aggravating to the point where I just leave and go to menards..95 st always keep a good inventory the employees are always very helpful

Absolutely horrible experience. Their website ishowed that my item was supposed to be delivered November 10 it is now November 25 and I still have not received it, have not received any updates, have not received any information regarding this item. Update: I left this review on their website and they rejected it and asked that I write another one...so here it is!

How can a chain store not honor purchases from other stores in their chain? Refusing a $20 refund has cost you much more. We own multiple properties and believe me, I will NEVER step foot in a Home Depot again.

I ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator from Menards on May 27th., on May 28th I saw an ad for Home Depot that they had free shipping. I canceled the order at Menards and ordered the refrigerator from Home Depot. Since that time I have had three cancelations for delivery. It’s coming September 5th now. I’ve made 4 payments on it and I still don’t have it. I called and they said due to COVID. A funny thing is that Menards never canceled the order and was going to deliver it. I had to call and tell them that I canceled it. How can they get a refrigerator and Home Depot can’t. What is funny too is that I ordered a stove from them and I got that in three weeks. I had people lined up to take out the old fridge three times, and they took off work to help me three time. It’s just frustrating.

The fact that the general public has to wait in a line up and go through the internal store just to buy things at the outside flower, lawn, and garden store is ridiculous. You should have two separate entrances in there that those people just getting mulch, sod, flowers, etc for the outside of their house do not have to walk through the inside of the store. We are on week four of quarantine, it should not be this hard to be figure out. It’s infuriating.
